i like buffets (not because im fat) but because you can get a variety of different stuff, but then you have 400lb couples that eat until they can't move

it is one of the better buffet's around, give it a try

They don't? Damn, they have tons of them around Rochester and the surrounding areas.

On their website they don't have any listed for Minnesota at all.

Google says that there's one in Rochester and one down by Iowa. I'll have to check it out next time I'm down that way.

Word, didn't know there were more people on GFY that close, I know Atom of SlickCash is up in Minneapolis but other than him, BVF, Sly and me, I figured that was the last of the MN/WI/IA crew.

I used to live about 45 mins south of Rochester just across the border in Iowa, until I moved to Dubuque 2 months ago.

Edit: Also Minte in Madison I think, forgot until I saw my avatar and remembered him.

Awesome, my mom and her boyfriend just took a vacation up at the Mall of America.

My aunt lives up on the second biggest lake, I can't remember it's name, but I do remember how fucking clear the water is, could see the bottom right in the middle of the lake.

Not sure if it's in the metro area, but I just googled it and luckily I can read but not spell, haha. Mille Lacs Lake is the lake she lives on.

No doubt about a drink or something, I'll send a an email if I ever venture up that way, probably plan on going to Valley Fair next spring/summer, my brother and a few friends used to go every year but never went this year.

Well some of the asian ones have charged for drinks.

My issues with buffets are threefold.

1. Food is average, no biggie as the salad bar is often very well stocked and clean. I do like a good salad bar.

2. I HATE people bumping me, being it a chair makes it extra suck cause often you end up getting the Heimlich done on you by the edge of the table - total appetite killer either way. Plus it often leads to number 3.

3. Jesus freaks of the born again tribe. I am like a beacon for them. They flock to me offering assistance, prayers, and most importantly seeking personal revelation by asking and or making sure that I do not blame JESUS! for what has happened and that I am at peace. Especially since if I can either not believe or blame him, what chance do they have. They just cheated, did some time, sucked some cock for meth, or whatever the fuck turned them around from sin to Jesus.
These people flock to buffets like the elderly do at the end of lunch time - where they can still get in for lunch prices and dinner gets served. Sundays are extra crazy but they have groups and are out all of the time at these places.

I'm in Wisconsin about half way between Milwaukee and Green Bay. There are two Golden Corals in Appleton and Oshkosh. That place is great. Their steak and fish is outstanding for a buffet joint and the price is right.

We've got one about 35-40 mins away and I've been there twice so far. For a buffet, it's pretty good. Good choice of food, usually pretty damn fresh and not a bad price. And yes, you've got rednecks, white trash and plenty of obese people shoveling food down there throats and running back for more food like they're going to miss something.

The best thing I've had there so far was their Habanero Chicken..mmmm

I tell them I myself am a Reverend and preach the word of Marijuana, they ask me if I really am a Reverend and I tell them yes, I can marry people in multiple states. I tell them the tree of life was actually a marijuana plant and that I intend to tell the world my sermon, they get very, very distraught. If you arent fucking with xstians, you arent having fun. Ive also told them I was a prwcher of the Left hand Bible, they fucking flip.

I give them the Dio horns and walk off. Attempting any discussion with these simpletons is useless I learned long ago, just scare them... their fear makes them retreat.
