Halp! My VPN log-in box keeps popping up after creating home network

The guys at the VPN company are pretty much useless helping me. Been through most of the techs there.

So I created a home network and now the VPN log-in box pops up all the time either randomly or when another computer gets online.

I've turned off everything in the properties that normally would make it do this. I've deleted and recreated the VPN. Still it opens.

I'm on XP.

The odd thing is, every time I go to the company live chat to get help, it will NOT pop on them. They use TeamViewer to enter my system to look for problems and it will not open when they are in there. Typical.

Anyone have any ideas short of smashing my system with a skillet?

I had that when trying to connect to a invisible Mac wireless network (i'm on PC). When the network was made visible and password protected it worked without that annoying pop up prompt. Ended up deleting everything and starting over.

Another thing is make sure you have the correct password. Had a new one reissued and they gave me the completely wrong pass.
