Film - The Day the Earth Stood Still

Firstly every time I see Keanu Reeves I expect him to say 'dude" or "excellent" in every sentence which does not help when he is trying to be an alien. Secondly this film could have been so much better than it actually was in so many ways. It is entertaining however very disappointing.

Plot
----
In this updated version of the 1951 classic sci-fi thriller, Keanu Reeves stars as an alien named Klaatu who's sent to Earth to warn the leaders of the world about the consequences of their dangerous ways. Joined by a heavily armed robot companion, Klaatu informs the people of Earth that the constant aggression carried out against one another has raised the ire of an alien species, which is now threatening to exterminate all of mankind.

It was ok. the Special Effects were great but it was lacking a bit.

Saw it just because many said it was a great disappointment.It was not very bad,I would chose it over many trash movies.

The original was great. The remake was pathetic. Really pathetic.

I thought it was a decant movie..However it does get very tiring see Hollywood to scared to make more original movies and having to constantly redo old classics, due to fear of a box office fail.

The 1951 original classic was WAY better - not with special effects, of course, just better in general. The 2008 remake really did it NO justice.
