The stunt worked out well for Viacom and NBC. It was obviously rehearsed by Kanye, Taylor, and Beyonce. Taylor performed right afterward and didn't seem even mildly upset or like her mascara was smeared one bit and she came on stage fast enough at the end that she clearly knew Beyonce was going to supposedly cede her time to her.

Lady Gaga was effing awesome though. I love that she is not afraid to look like she is trying and had at least four different wild outfits for the occasion. Pink on the trapeze was kinda neat too.

I'll go back to the point I was trying to make. There is no reason to set anything up or pay anyone anything when you know some fool who thinks the world owes him a living is going to do something fucking ignorant anyway.

Further... Kanye wasn't scheduled to appear on Leno.. That came about after the incident when he said he wanted to talk and Leno canceled the guest that was to appear in that slot.
