Best way to start a site with an online store?
One of my friends opened a supplements store a while back, I figured I would help him best I can in setting up a site where people could buy his products directly.
What is the best way to do this? Recommended code? etc... Thanks guys. |

If you're selling a physical product, the paypal checkout is pretty easy to setup. I also have a buddy that uses OSCommerce and he likes it for the most part.

Yup, go research shopping cart solutions. You need more than a little code but it's easy to get going.

If it's your first shopping cart, consider purchasing a stable, reday and tested solution. Maybe even with some support included. Haven't looked too much into the one being offered by GoDaddy, but at least it's supported and you can call someone and ask about things. And it's not to costly to start out with.
So instead of blowing money on some fancy solution, start out small and if it works for you or your friend, move on to a better and maybe bigger solution. |
