Wordpress widgets and sidebars question
I have several WP themes with widgets already in the sidebars that I cannot edit or delete. In the widgets section, the sidebars are empty. How can you delete the pre-specified widgets?

Either go into your theme and edit them out manually from the sidebar.php or you may be able to add your first widget and it'll remove the rest.

If you didn't not add any widgets, the default WP widgets will show.

Add the Text Widget and don't do anything and it'll be mostly blank.

The first part (manual edit) is probably messy for the uninitiated but sure to work. The second part looks more promising. Right, if you manually add widgets, the default widgets might disappear. Also, notice that some themes have several widget groups, top, bottom, left, right. I think they are called North, South, East West. You might be editing one of the groups and have missed another group Also check if there are settings for your theme, where you can optionally get rid of the widgets. |

are the themes widget friendly? Sounds to me like they're static sidebars

Manually editing the sidebar and adding your html/js/php is the best..

it's funny that when people ask for help about anything in the adult biz, nobody helps of gives ironic responses, or gets 0 responses in 24 hours...
now when it comes to WORDPRESS, you will always find help, i really wonder why? |
