ive searched gfy if this was already posted, it isn't so thought i'd share this really interesting article about big economies joining forces to create a new currency which is partly based on gold, to replace the dollar in the oil trading business.
If it all goes like the article says the dollar will be history as THE world currency as we know it in 9 years: "The current deadline for the currency transition is 2018."

Im already making a start in the dutch online biz coincidentally, i have always made strictly english (US) websites but with the dollar being so crappy i have no choice to look elsewhere for my money - shouldve made that decision years ago but hey im lazy. I still hope it will not end like this for the dollar though, the US is a great market for online biz.

i agree there's gotta happen alot if this really will come through, with the EU as another economy thats not likely to cooperate since their relation with the US is that they follow the US like lapdogs no matter what. But the combined financial force of russia, china and japan is huge and its all about money so who knows...
