Vacation Planning - Orlando

I went to Disney last year. What are those other parks in Orlando besides Disney, and are they worth a trip by comparison?

Yeah, universal was what I was thinking. However, I hope it is better than Disney's MGM or Hollywood deal. It is nice and all, simply not an entire day's worth of fun. I was thinking maybe if there is a SeaWorld, and a few other things I could schedule out 4-5 days of shit.

Keep in mind, I have no kids. So when I go to Disney, or parks. I can buzz through them much quicker than a family would.

A lot of times when I am looking around, or research vacation spots, I get the family perspective. Ya know, the horror stories of screaming kids, and it takes a day to get through it and so on. Where two people can fly through an Epcot or Hollywood Studios in half a day.

I like SeaWorld (I used to live across the street on I-Drive) and Universal / City Walk is fun, especially at night when it's lit up. Epcot was cooler than I thought it would be, and has some pretty good restaurants.

Discovery Cove on my next visit

Yeah, I remember SeaWorld as a kid. We used to have one over in Ohio that you would hit on the way to Kings Island, or Cedar Point. But it's closed now. That would be fun to see again.

All ticket prices for all parks i believe just went up and if they didnt they will be.

Parking has gone up as well

Sea World has a new roller coaster called mantis.

Islands of adventure is a fun park at universal. it has 4 roller coasters. One is brand new just opened last month

Universal studios is ok. the simpsons ride is quite good actually. everything else for me is "been there, done that"

Discovery cove is cool if you want to swim with dolphins. There is a new water park as well at at sea world but it may be a bit chilly for that now.

There is a new restaurant called t-rex in downtown disney, its pretty cool.

Come back next year and we should have a 400 ft tall ferris wheel built

And all the other rides are located off I-drive. though they cost anywhere from 160-400 an hour. hahahaha

Good info. Thanks.

Yep. Ate there. It was ok. That T-Rex and Rainforest Cafe deals are a bit over the top for me, but I see the kids around us always seem to enjoy that shit.

I went to all the parks two years in a row. Islands of Adventure is great. Busch Gardens in Tampa is well worth the drive over. There wasn't really a bad park in my opinion. I was there for 3 weeks both times and had a great time.

Universal Studios is sick tho, be sure to go on the Hulk 10 times! You'll love it.

seriously man universal/islands of adventure is god damn amazing. Dueling Dragons/Hulk rollercoasters will take your man-virginity and you'll love it. Fuck Disney viva las universal studios.

Btw, the Jurassic Park ride is AWESOME (if it's still there)
