all in one IM client with full MSN/WLM support needed
I'd like a multi IM client which has full support for MSN/WLM. With full support i mean no lost messages, no slow file transfers and a nice addition but no priority is webcam support.
The ones who i have dismissed: Trillian (which im using now): Really crappy MSN file transfers. Developers say it is a priority but its getting delayed for more than a year and has just been pushed back to an even later version. Its unusable for me only because of this. Also no webcam support but i couldve lived with that if it wasnt for the file transfer problem. Digsby: Looked promising until i searched for msn in their forums. Several recent posts of MSN messages not being delivered or received and MSN file transfers just as slow as in trillian. So im not touching this one. Other well known clients are Pidgin and Miranda, how is MSN/WLM performing with these clients? Fast file transfers? And maybe even webcam support? Please share your msn experience if you use these IM's |

I have used pidgin for some time now and really enjoy it. I have not had problems with loosing messages, although not always do i receive offline messages and there is no webcam availability.
For what i need it for it's great, although it may not serve your needs! |

I have been using pidgin and file transfer sometimes is buggy, but I still love it. Also the OTR support is great.
Never tried a webcam with pidgin... |

bump, by the way file transfers with one kind (msn) is not like the other (i.e. icq) in the same multiple im client, thats why im looking for specifically msn experiences with these clients.

installed miranda, same shit as trillian with msn file transfers. So now crappy msn on:
Trillian Digsby Miranda msn file transfers seem really too complex for developers... im gonna try opening ports which didnt help one bit for trillian, but maybe im lucky with miranda but i doubt it. |
