My thoughts about content we sell to surfers

I am a demanding client myself and it's hard to make me buy shit. That's because I like quality and i do not tolerate substitutes and second hand. I don't buy PanasOanic or SonEy, yeah. same kind i don't buy Dogfart clones. I was curious each time i see blocks posting models they shoot asking for response they get some kind of go-go replys thats unhonest fucked up lies and doesnt stimulate producers, doesnt make them critically see what they offer. Many people wonder why they are going out of business, that's because they promote or produce shit that is out of demand. Today, surfers are definitely no longer that hungry for porn, they are looking for new advanced vision, quality and out of the box representation.
Same about design and everything on this planet, to achieve we need to work on. No offence, I really like many content shooters here but some really produce shit. No names, you know what I mean.

Good words and a man after my own heart. Well said.

The problem is who will pay for this great new content you want?

Good equipment, good models, good locations and experience costs money so producing 4-5 solo girl set and video scenes in a day and making them top quality is a tough call. Especially when the buyer wants it all for $1500 to $2000. Try $1500 per scene and you might get what you want. Solo not BG or Lesbian.

Now all the people can chip in and scream they can shoot is for a quarter the price.

There is one rule in life that fits here, You get what you pay for.

Members area could be improved with a lot more then just better stills and video content and still fail. They need to look into giving a lot more if they want to sell more.

Paul, i think somehow film industry does do it for $9 a ticket. Pay per view is the answer, of course not every one at home even in America has fast internet access, but still people buy expensive suits and cars, and I'm sure they could afford wanking in style

and i think it wont hurt to make a market offer at least, every established company could afford that. Tho, i cant tell may be they did questionaries within their customer base and got the 'niende' response to the offer.

Amazing how a mediocre designer can speak on shooting content...A business he has nothing to do with.....

Maybe it's coincidence or me getting back on ICQ and email talking too two friends who have been in the business for years. Both have tons of experience and know the business as well as anyone. Their list of clients ran through the industry from top to bottom.

And both are quitting to shoot mainstream, porn is no longer worth it and there is more money in weddings and portrait photography. No industry can afford to lose people like this but it has to be prepared to pay the right money.

You can't blame the Russians or anyone who produces content for a price that does not cut it. You have to blame the sponsors who buy it.

Why? The content is usually great, niched and high quality, beautiful girls - all the HQ niched porn sites are run by Russians. The reason is they can pay the girls lower cash and also the EUR/USD exchange rate of 1.5. I dont blame anyone, I just cant understand how do EU/US content providers manage to compete with them?? The content must be illegal or where is the catch?

The buyers are voting with their feet and there is your answer. You might think it's great but members don't. Being a pornographer takes experience that can't be learned in a few months, you have to know your niche, the equipment, crew and above all models. Something that doesn't come cheap.

As for the number of scenes you can shoot properly in a day. This is down to what you call properly. Getting 5 solo girls scenes out of a girl is nearly impossible, everyone gets tired and it starts to repeat, also there is little time except to shoot a girl on a bed type scene.

But as this thread is about the quality of the product we sell to the customer I don't feel discussing how cheap anyone can produce it is worth it. This is where you start to shoot quality porn.

Director/Cameraman
Good video camera
Sound equipment
Lighting equipment
Location
Good models
Transport
Extras.

There is no shortage of great porn producers, ask the top companies, just a shortage of people with big enough pockets.

Yeah, I have learned this a few days ago.. 4 solo scenes is just enough... but then who is going to pay the expenses if only 4 scenes are done.. thats the question.

Even when the Adult Internet was for some a license to print money the big sponsors were still looking to cut the prices of the content. Moving lights, sound equipment, resetting everything, applying new make up, redressing the model or models, setting the scene for them and then shooting stills and video without everyone getting exhausted is tough. But the big sponsors did not care, they thought they could sell anything so long as they threw enough traffic at it.

My best paying day was the day we shot these scenes.

Christine, Petra and Micheal 1

Christine, Petra and Micheal 2

Shot two scenes that day and it was a stretch, made more money than any sponsor would ever pay for 2 exclusive scenes and that's the bottom line. Why is the content we sell to customers so poor?

Because sponsors won't pay a competitive price for it.

Not trying to have a go at anyone but sponsors paying $2,000 or there about for an exclusive BG scene are not even paying the price 1 sale to an American magazine would pay for the image set for non exclusive.

I would like to see the scenes but I cant. It redirects me to google.com

Did you sell the scenes on your own site?

You must be based in Czech or Slovakia, we block both countries.

Yes we sold the sets and videos off our content stores, though that was not half the value. The best money came from magazines sales, then DVD and finally the Net.

It seems to me that what the viewers want and what webmasters want as content are completely and totally different things.

Very very true. The problem is few of the webmasters are porn consumers. Vegetarians selling meat.
