Bootcamp Help!!!!
I was running XP smooth as butter on my Mac. It was faster and better than on a PC.
Foolishly I wanted to partition a larger drive and had to reinstall everything. Now it lags. I click on a folder and it lags before opening it, when it didn't do this before. I've reinstalled 3 times, tried without updates from Windows, with updates from Windows and still the same result. The ONLY thing I've changed is making the drive larger. Anyone have this problem? How did you fix it? |

There may be some random wierdness in the portion of the drive you are now trying to use with xp.
One thing I would try is to backup the XP partition to a disk image on some external media. (you should do this anyway just for the hell of it - you never know when you'll need an external backup) Then, get rid of the partition and make a new one of a similar but different size. Finally, restore your disk image to the new partition and see if its faster. |
