Hey Eru,

I´m a horror/gore hound and i have an huge collection of that kind of movies, also i got some gems like "Organ" and "Junk" (super gore flicks from Japan) and i was told that Battle Royale had liters of blood in it.

And i got a copy on VHS of "Battle Royale" and yes, it was a fucking excellent movie... but just wondering if there´s a source to get a truly uncensored/unrated/uncut version of it.

there is an uncensored/uncut version of it?

Maybe I have it.. dunno.

All I know is I have a 1.5gb divx of it and I really like it.

The scene where Takako Chigusa starts knifing that guy's balls was hard to watch.

Ok guys this film was on a par with maybe "Escape from New York" or "Death Race 2000" in terms of concept and execution.

If there weren't cute Kogals getting blown away in it it wouldn't even rate.

Neither the theatrical release nor the newly released Director's Cut contain large amounts of blood. In many respects Battle Royale is quite tame.

Gore-wise "Battle Royale" is pretty tame....but concept-wise...damn good flick..I think the fact they have actual teenagers playing teenagers instead of the typical 30 year olds playing teenagers helps it quite a bit...

good carnage, but not an overabundance of gore...

I'm a gore hound as well and will have to check out "Junk". I've heard good things about, but have yet to see it.

I just lined up a screener copy of "Audition" and I can't wait,...but it's been so hyped up, I hope I'm not going in with unrealistic expectations...

Once I finally launch my new movie site, I should be able to get more screeners....nothing like people sending you free videos to screen........too bad, so many are lame as fuckall ;)

Most of the actors were about 15-18 years old. The only exception I know of for the students was the guy who played the guy who already was the survivor of the game 3 years ago (forgot his name) -- he was 25 when the film was made.

yup, and I think that fact gives the movie a little more "realism" and added punch...

and another reason why you'll never see it in American theatres.

Audition has been available on DVD in the states since summer just don't rent it at blockbusters because they only carry the censored version.

Depending on how much you know about the movie already the hype might kill it for you. But seeing it with zero knowledge/expectations is a completely mind blowing experience. And if you like Audition, Visitor Q is a MUST SEE!

I'll definitely seek out Vistor Q, another one I've heard decent things about.

the horror movie forum at www.joblo.com has also been helpful in picking up little known movies, you guys might want to check it out....

Battle Royale is pretty good.
Not tons of gore, but there is plenty of action and most of the female students are pretty cute.

If your not using Kazaa/Kazaa lite I recommend you download it.
Its easy to find movies you'd have trouble seeing otherwise.

SykkBoy2 - I watched LOTR 2 towers at the theatre tonight. Before the movie started there is a preview for a new TV channel called "SCREAM".
It plays nothing but Horror, thrillers, and suspense movies.
I assume its like the movie channels with no ads during the film. You might want to look into it, if you love horror films.
