Google toolbar tracks search EVEN WHEN TURNED OFF

A bug in Google Toolbar has resulted in the search giant receiving information about users' Web surfing in violation of the product's privacy policy, according to an anti-spyware and privacy researcher. In a report to be released Tuesday, Ben Edelman, an assistant professor at Harvard Business School, shows that under certain circumstances the Google Toolbar (versions 6.3 and above) tracks the browser habits of Internet Explorer 8 users who have activated the toolbar's "enhanced features" even when the toolbar is turned off or disabled.

A bug? Google has been violating people's privacy since launch and on purpose. That's not a bug, that's intentional abuse. It's Google we're talking about.

google has information on everything, anyone that parks their domains with google adsense for domains, sedo, namedrive, fabulous, domain sponsor or installs analytics on their sites even without spyware just having statistics on the majority of all domains and websites is pretty powerful and when they don't have a niche they just buy out whoever does, powerful monopoly.
