pretty cool iphone app for hospitals.
Last night about 10:30pm my mom who just turned 70 took a fall. I ended up having to call the fire department and they took her to the hospital because they thought she might have either broke her leg or damaged her knee. Luckily nothing was wrong but some bumps and bruises and a little humiliation.
While in there one of the nurses was asking her about what medicine she takes. My mom tells her the name of it, but can't remember the dosage amount. So the nurse pulls out an iphone and starts up an app that has pictures of every pill out there. She shows it to my mom who picks which one she takes and from that they knew the dosage. It was pretty cool. Must be a huge database. The nurse was telling me that they use that app all day every day and it has literally saved people's lives. |
