Affiliate industry in adult is dead. There is no trust left.. There is no reason to promote someone elses business, cuz tere is no future in it... if you have something going.. sure, do cash in on it.. but im not gonna send all my domain traffic to some fuck who just took away my $20k a year i work hard to create just because they have an EXCUSE of this downline scam... which is what it is.. an excuse.... Sure a lawsuit I would win.. I talked to my lawyer over the phone and he already said.. they cant do that, they know they will get lawsuits, but in the long run they make out and end the 10%

They know this.. I think the biggest mistake anyone can do at this point is send in the ID... Its granting them legal permission to fuck you.. if you dont, you can still remain option to sue....

You have to send a NEW affiliate every 3 months and they must make $50 per period
If i don't, they take away and remove your broker account and the 15-20k a year your are already making.. and growing every month...

Some of the people i referered 5 years ago just started promoting within the last year or two... no joke.. Affilliate referal sales have never been a big signup thing.. its like a needle in a haystack... I aint going to start developing a webmaster board or something, that is just sill, this is plain theft on their end.. but what can you do about it..

Think of it this way... lets say you got offered 25% of all your sales on a customer for your referrals.. they wake up tomorrow and say, you are now only going to make 5%

Can they do this?? They can do it.. Is it legally justifiable? HELL NO, but what can you do? Sue the hand that feeds you? your fucked either way

Say you have 15 active affiliates under you that are sending a nice amount of traffic an making some good money each month. Then you refer a new affiliate and this new affiliate fails to make $50 per month. They yank your entire broker account and take all the active affiliates you have in place?

Expect a LOT more of this.

Belts are tightening, volumes are shrinking and so the only way to maintain or increase the bottom line is to reduce your costs and increase your margin.

But this has been coming for a long time, and affiliates shouldn't really be surprised.

Simple business fact is that in MOST cases, an affiliate's "contribution" is that they put up a link or a sponsor's banner and somebody clicks it. They normally have virtually zero initial cost related SPECIFICALLY to that link, and the referred customer may never revisit the introducing site again, but that introducing site will receive commission every month the sponsor rebills him, or in the case of cams, every time the customer reloads his account.....which can be a lot.

Of course some do more, and there is work building the sites in the first place, but your sponsor had work to do to build his site also, so it's not a justification of why you should be paid forever for a simple introduction. I do not mean to insult the professional affiliates or detract from how hard they work so no point telling me I am wrong on this if you are in the minority of hard working affiliates. I also am an affiliate of other sites and admit that I do virtually nothing for my recurring income.

This is why programs are having to either cancel their affiliate programs and just killing rebills, or changing terms to kill off recurring income (unless you jump through a series of hoops designed at keeping you "useful" to them ie continually referring new customers).

Other programs like AWE appear to be trying to encourage people toward PPS (although seriously....good luck getting $222 per sale on PPS - read the small print), and the knowledgeable and respected Shap even went as far as to try to point everybody in that direction in a carefully worded post asking if it was "time" for affiliates to switch to PPS?

So is the greedy affiliate who wants his monthly pound of flesh but doesn't manke any contribution to the business' ongoing success to blame for the predicament many programs find themselves in?

NO. The programs themselves caused this situation with ridiculous percentage revenue shares and even more ridiculous PPS offers and the latest "clown off" between AWE and ImLIve just illustrates the point perfectly.

Conclusion: Affiliates think of how likely a company will be to be able to pay you. CLUE: Higher revenue share they pay out less margin they have to play with. Higher PPS more pressure there is on them to rebill or cross sell etc.



Specifically to the OP:

Why sell now? just point all these domains to the AWE and I'mLive PPS offers. If you get any sales you will increase the domain's value for when you do sell.

I see this as a last-ditch cash grab to be honest. Seriously. Not trying to be a troll.

They saw what some of the larger affil programs did and then sat down with a calculator and figured out how much money they'd save by changing their TOS. Everyone knows they're in debt up to their eyeballs. They need cash and they need it now.

I can see AFF becoming a successful company again one day but it's going to take a bankruptcy and a change in management and company culture. Unfortunately, rather than declaring bankruptcy NOW and continuing to pay affils and restructuring their debt, instead they're going to assfuck their affils so that when the bankruptcy does arrive, the value of the company, minus affils, will be next to nothing.

Adult, as a whole, is becoming more and more mainstream every day. Gone are the days of "slap up anything related to sex on the internet and make money." It will take more intelligent and professional management to be successful in the future. AFF does not have that.

Ask yourself what companies offer a quality product and no fake profiles, fake claims and no fucked billing. If you want to grab as much money as you can before you exit adult in the next 6-18 months, promote the scumbags and ride it out. If you want to stay in this industry for forever, promote the non-scumbags and bust your ass to figure out how to make it profitable. When the scumbags are gone, you'll be back to working 6 hour days for a six figure income and the scumbags will be, well, I'd like to say they'll be working at McDonald's but more likely they'll move on to the next scam.
