roughoral.com and throatrape.com - ideas?
I just got these... after hearing a female friend use both to describe the type of oral porn she sees nowadays.
Definitely a niche, just not sure the best way to make use of these... I typically build sites idea first, then domain... rather than the opposite. Also, as some have brought up - what are the exact ramifications of a site with "rape" anywhere in the title? We all know the serious tone it can have, but a lot of people do use it in conjunction with other words for exaggerated or humorous effect. Obviously, it isn't funny to anyone who experienced such a thing--but it fits a lot of the content on many well-converting sites at the moment. Say what you will about the people who appreciate them, but some certainly do. |

I agree that it is strong word... I kind of judged myself a little bit after I registered it.
It certainly describes some of the sites that are out there... but I am likely to pass it off if I find it a hinderance. So far,the type-in traffic on both is surprisingly high. |

while I appreciate the harsh and dissing tone of the replies, what are the actual implications and restrictions re: using the word rape in a domain?
certainly, if it were to link to a site with a seeminly normal tone, I would think it bad word choice. however, you could have a site called "happy fun oral time" linked to gag factor, slap happy, or max hardcore content, which would be far more offensive. I know the word has a taboo in both society and industry, and if anything, I would appreciate any insight into how people have dealt with such things in the past. Or would it just be better to let it die altogether or pass it off? |
