Epass and ATM Malfunction
So, I used a Bank of America ATM to withdraw from my Epass account. I've never had a problem before but this time the ATM malfunctioned and didn't give me the money...even though it kept pinging me to take the money. I went inside and talked to the Vice President. His instructions we re to call Epassporte and explain the problem with the ATM #, that it was Epassporte's responsibility to ping the bank and clear it up.
I emailed Michael and am on the phone with them now. What's the odds of me ever getting my money reimbursed?

It would be nice if they could hire one more person to help out Michael.
He appears to be the only one who works there. |

Bank of America said it could be cleared up in under and hour by pinging with them ATM #. Epass phone support is not the worst for an Indian call center but it still as productive and enjoyable as snorkeling in La Brea tar pits. This is another reason why working with Epass sucks balls. Bank of America sucks em too.

Different things can happen.
Owner of ATM realize the mistake and drops the Pending transaction Transaction stays Pending for more than 10 business days then we can drop it manually The transaction is charged by the ATM then you need to fill out a form and we charge back the transaction but this can take up to 45-60 days and the ATM can challenge the CB

i had a mishap with a atm and my epass card was kept. One said it couldnt process the transaction like there was a malfunction with the machine. The next time i tried it at a different machine it kept my car. So i guess after 2 attempts the cards is retained (almost all bank give you 3 times). But funny thing is my pin is the last 4 of social and i have never entered it wrong and im sure i didnt enter it wrong this time. its the last 4 of my social. and i enter it wrong on 2 different atm? Anyways epass support dont understand what I was telling them had to repeat myself a few times, they swear that i entered pin wrong but Im sure i didnt, i just wont have a card Im not paying the fee again.

The ping has to be lower, otherwise it lags too much. Just remember that a good player with a high ping can still beat a bad player with a low ping.

You should have told epass you were going to see the "movie" maybe they would have been able to atleast float you $10 bucks for a ticket..Anyways 6 weeks isnt that long to wait when you have bills to pay and a family to feed

I was taking out a bunch of cash once and the machine said " out of money" and gave me less cash than what i asked, then it said " trying to reverse transaction" , then " failed ". When i logged into epass i saw the full amount was taken from my account, so i asked the bank where the atm was , they said " call your bank " , epass said " call the bank where the atm is " heh , anyways , it was put back in several weeks later ( without interest )

I had this happen to me at in Plattsburgh NY with an independent bank at a machine in a shopping mall. Very long story short I filled out the forms, epass had to do a charge back (I believe) with the bank that didn't dispense the $400 and then they credited my account the $400. The whole process took about 4-8 weeks if I remember correctly.
If you follow the procedures you'll get your money not to worry. It takes a while and you might get frustrated but it's the fault of the bank not epass, they now have to work to get you your money so be patient.

About 2 years ago I went to take 200 out of an atm at a local bank here. The money jammed in the hopper and it never dispensed. I walked inside the branch, the manager went outside, looked at my receipt and manually pulled the cash out for me. Nice dealing with a small local bank.

Yeah, appratently in this case the bank was ready to fix it if I had a Bank of America card/account. he took one look at the Epass card and said "Oh no". BTW...still haven't had my account reimbursed yet.

this happened to me about 2 years ago. i went to withdraw some cash and the ATM malfunctioned and only gave me about 1/3 of what i got. HOLD ON TO THE RECEIPT!!!
epass will send paperwork to the bank and the bank will verify the funds were not taken out and you will get your money in a few weeks. I had the same problem with my BofA debit card a few weeks ago and took about 4 weeks to get my money back from some shitty ATM at a bar.
