I started using Outlook 2010 recently so that I can organize my contacts, calendar, emails & tasks/notes and also back up and sync all data with my laptop, smartphone and any future devices I may use.

Personally, I just use Outlook, and it works great.
That, and most information flows through my main database, so everything is stored there if I ever need to look anything up.
