The latest Intel SSDs are supposed to be really fast. Before you buy just do a google search, as some brands of SSD's don't perform as well. (although they are still far superior to even the fastest of regular hard drives)

Everyone always seems to recommend Intel when I have been researching them.

(Also keep in mind when looking at benchmarks that some of the other newer drives need a 6 GBps interface to reach their max speeds, and often suffer when connected to a regular SATA interface, which most laptops are going to have)

my notebook as an SSD c drive, don't know which brand... 80gb... windows is +/- 40gb

I just added one to my list of things to get and I think it came to around $2600 for a 15".....
