Parts of the US-Mexico Border "too dangerous to patrol"
http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/71105
Sheriff Larry Dever of Cochise County, Ariz., one of four Arizona counties contiguous with the U.S-Mexico border, said Friday that the U.S. Border Patrol has pulled back from parts of the border in his and neighboring counties because manning those areas has become too dangerous. ?And you frankly have Border Patrolmen--and I know this from talking to Border Patrol agents?who will not allow their agents to work on the border because it is too dangerous,? Dever told CNSNews.com in a videotaped interview. ?Now what kind of message is that for crying out loud?? .oh my .

It is sure safer to patrol inside populated urban or rural areas.
A person patrolling the border might not see another human being in his eyesight. This could be dangerous.

The Minutemen as regular citizens are only legal allowed to observe and report. They don't have the powers to stop and arrest.

Easy solution. End Prohibition. Regulate and Tax. Cut off the cartels funding source. Will never happen though because Wall Street is addicted to drug money. Plus the banks like BOA and Wells Fargo would lose a ton on all the money they launder for the cartels. You could put a 300 foot tall wall along the entire Mexican border and have armed guards every 30 feet and it still wouldn't make a difference. People will be bribed and the drugs will still make it through. These cartels have more money than god and that is the only language which is spoken universally on this planet.

Interesting...but other states with bordering counties do not complain of the same problems? Sounds like someone on the Arizona payroll is trumping things up to justify their recent actions.

I've traveled extensively around the world and I've yet to come to a border and immigration law that is as fucked up as what the USA has. If you or anyone else is caught illegally in another country, you are deported or jailed, and that's the end of that.
They need to crack the god damn whip and secure the border. Then either allow those inside to go for their citizenship and tax them to death like the rest of us, or they need to kick them out. The US National Guard is to protect the nation. This is a job for them, let them do it. Build walls, arrest, inspect, whatever they need to do. It is time to put them to a good use (all of them) and deal with this issue. It's only going to get worse if they don't. |

housemaids and yardmen, then they need to stop the reason they are coming here. Make it illegal, no panty waste slap on the wrist, to hire any illegal aliens/undocumented immigrants. Say 5 years and $1mil fine for each said immigrant caught at your establishment. No plea deals, no paying off the judge. As it is now there is no incentive for the them not to pay such low wages that only immigrants will work for them.

Reagans policy was typical of the Grand Ol Party techniques. Play tough on crime but the penalties are so soft they are not in any way a deterent. What is the fine 250 bucks if they even bother charging you. Reagan and the Party couldn't set the fines to high as their contributors needed the labor force.
