:stop "Birdemic" vs. "Monsters" - Same budget and very different outcomes... *videos*

Birdemic IMDB comment: "The worst film made by anyone, ever, at anytime"

Both films shot for around the same amount of money. The directors did the special effects for both films. The difference? Talent

with a name like "Birdemic" you can just smell the quality;)

Monsters looks really good, looking forward to that one.

Imo the real geniuses in filmmaking are the people who somehow manage to make good films for NO money.
Primer - 7k
Blair Witch - less than 60k
Mariachi - 7k
The Celebration - approx 5k
Following - 12k
Clerks - 30k

many times these are the best films these filmmakers ever make because once given millions to make another film they lose control or are no longer inspired like they once were.
incredible that the guy who made Primer, Caruth, apparently hasn't made a film since.

All great (sans clerks) movies.

Caruth is working on a new film now called, "A Topiary". I do not think he will be a one hit wonder. The Blair Witch Boys clearly ARE one hit wonders. The others on your list, no so much.

That's great news, saw on imdb its slated for 2013 so we'll have to wait a while.

Was the Birdemic music done by Korn? That would explain a lot.

The director is dead serious about the film. In this interview he compares it ("from a distance") to a $100 million dollar film.

damn that interview has been disabled but i did watch that birdemic clip.

"from the visionary director"

it could find its place as the worse film ever made.

birdemic.

The clip works if you view it on YouTube.

They are working on a sequel now, "Birdemic: The Resurrection".
