The sponsors that closed down, why didn't they sell?

Instead of just closing down, why didn't they just sell their sites/programs?

Maybe they lost their merchant accounts and couldn't take transactions any more. Without transactions, there isnt much of a business left.

They could of sold the content over and over again. People are looking for deals and not that bothered with exclusive. Basically what a buyer will pay for exclusive is not good enough and there's more money to be made selling it non exclusive over and over again.
