i just looked at it, its more of a design issue than a programmable one, its just using twitter feeds, and rss feeds.

cool idea. Build a site around niche-specific tweets. Maybe pair it with spidered embedded youtube / vimeo /etc vids. Probably glue it together with its own social networking layer.
