In this day and age I find the domain first and then work the name around it.

Some people are just good at it, and some aren't.

I've actually been paid by more than a few clients to come up with brandable names for their businesses or products.

How can you expect to offer these services that you will offer if you can't manage to come up with your own name and marketing ideas?
