Anyone here buy a Google TV device yet?

If so, I hope you kept the receipt.

Are we beginning to see a pattern yet? Just when we thought (or at least we were hoping) that Fox was going to be the last major network to block Google TV, Viacom has arrived just in time to rain on our parade. That?s right folks, Viacom is now blocking Google TV devices from streaming full episodes across their entire line of properties.

Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, and Nickelodeon are just a few of the Viacom owned networks that bring up the dreaded ?sorry, this content is unavailable for your device? when attempting to stream a full episode from their websites. The only upside to all of this is the fact that the user agent fix (that still works on Fox.com mind you) allows you to get around this little hiccup.

We bought one for our office and for development. It's just an android with wifi capabilities that connects to your TV. I might get one personally as well.

Here's our Tech Team's review of it after creating our PinkVisual.TV

hence the need for access shifting to block this type of abuse.

especially when you consider the fact that i can load windows media center on a more expensive box, and this streaming will see the box as nothing more than any other pc when it shows the shit on my tv.

Are the major networks still blocking them?

Honestly I don't see an incentive for the networks to work with Google. All the new TVs, even the cheap ones have access to apps. The networks can make an app for a few bucks to stream their shows and keep all the revenue instead of sharing it with Google or anyone else.
