Do amazon deliver on Saturdays?

I bought an item on amazon and paid for the express delivery, this means I get it in 1 day so I should get it on Saturday.

On my amazon account it says. Delivery Estimate: 30 Nov 2010
I'm not having that I paid quite a bit for the express delivery so I better get it this morning.
(Already Saturday here, 1.45AM)

I'm from the UK and used amazon.co.uk, I'm not sure if they have the same type of delivery options in the US.

Saturday delivery- if it is available at all- always costs extra from any merchant you buy from with any common carrier they use, usually UPS or Fedex. The US mail does deliver first class mail on Saturday, and I believe parcels as well. But one cannot expect any other service to deliver on a Saturday unless you pay a lot extra for that special service.

In Canada, I've gotten deliveries from Amazon on Saturdays. They don't use Canada Post. Truck pulls up, I get my book.
