How often can you eat at McDonalds without destroying your health?

Your thoughts?

How frequently can you visit McDonalds on the long-term without wiping out your health? Once per week? Once per month? Never? Assume each time you go you're having a minimum of one burger, a portion of fries and a large Cola.

once per week if i'm craving for bigmac meal
other days of the week i order from local cuisines and other fast food ....kfc,auntie anne .

but the value is identical 5-7 $ per meal+ extra item including the delivery .

what really funny is that i spend on food more than a family can spend here .

You can have any "bad" food in moderation and stay healthy/fit. I've been doing it for years. Actually, having bad foods worked into your diet is key to adherence, which is above all else the most important thing for your diet.

The best diet is the one you can stick to, not some gimmicky bullshit where you eat "magic" foods or eliminate entire food groups.

McDonald's is food, by the way. And it's not the worst thing you can eat.

Why large cola as a minimum, esp with just one burger? I always tqke smal cola, even with 2 burgers.

I rarely eat at McDonald's. I can't remember the last time I did. And when I do, I tend to have a chicken sandwich.

I had Wendy's last night, which is also rare. I was on the road, out of town, and had to eat.

I rarely eat fast food.

You could eat there daily and not be unhealthy. You don't have to eat big macs and cheese burgers.

They have decent salads as long as you get the grilled chicken with it and watch the salad dressing.

If I remember correctly their sales are actually cheaper than the quarter pounder meal.

I eat pretty well with lots of salad and veggies, but I love junk food. I'll have McD's or Wendy's about once or twice a month, plus local Pizza about twice a month too. Potato chips w/ every smamich. Mmmm.. so good.

I'm a health conscious guy and I do eat at Mcdonalds once or twice a month. I'm not a heavy eater though so I don't think eating a hamburger/fries/coke zero will do much damage anyway.

I was eating there at least few times per week for years. I believe that a decent physical activity will compensate for the most of the potential problems.

You could eat a mcdonalds once a week without worry of health deterioration.

There was a program about this, the person stayed on different diets, or people. One was eating mcdonalds only & after the month their lack of steam, their drive & motivation was compensated, they had put on weight, this is fat not muscle, & their heart and blood pressure and rates had changed, not huge amounts, but this was only one month. Several years & I would imagine you would change your life line by many years

You can eat there as much as you'd like to if you compensate the high calorie with the intense workout. At the end of the day if we are talking about not getting fat (and not about keeping your intestinal microflora healthy) the only thing you should keep an eye on is to spend more calories than you get.

There are other reasons that people don't go to McDonalds other than just avoiding calories, such as the antibiotics used in the animals, the Carcinogenic pesticide, silicone, and petrol-based chemical called TBHQ in the fries and the hydrongenated soybean oil. There are people who will happily eat other fattening foods and then exercise (or not) to burn the calories, but they avoid McDonalds food as they see it as toxic and Carcinogenic, potentially causing serious diseases and destroying beneficial gut bacteria. It's also highly addictive, so can easily get out of control even if you went in with good intentions.

It's what I said before. McDonald's isn't the best food, but it's better than a lot of things you can eat. Practicing moderation can allow you to have whatever you like and maintain a level of fitness.

I've had a six pack for 3 years and I eat Wendy's, McDOnald's, ice cream, pizza, peanut butter jelly sandwiches, gummy bears, you name it. But that stuff occupies a 10% space in my diet. That 10% of "bad foods" is what allows me to sustain the good 90%, which is a lot of chicken, cod, broccoli, walnuts, greek yogurt etc.

If you are talking about mental health then paranoid nut jobs should avoid it at all costs - The trauma of eating a Big Mac will require years of therapy to get over...

Physical health - the key is moderation.....

I eat MCDs once a week but I'll either get 2 McDoubles or a double quarter and a SMALL dr pepper. I hate that drinks sizes got so huge. I only need enough pop to wash the burger down. I also only drink one glass of pop a day. I drink 2-4 bottles of water.

There is nothing wrong with fast food from time to time if you don't pig out with big full meals and super-sizing the shit.

I also try to hit subway once a week.

Do you basically say it's as bad as heroine or any other 'bad' addiction?

If you were going there every day, eating a burger, fries and fizzy drink, it would be more comparable to being addicted to smoking
