Had a few ticks myself few months back when it was wet and was pulling couple off the dogs every night but been dry for weeks and the dogs haven't had a tick since either.
The real problem if you get bit enough you can get Lymes Disease then you get symptoms like hives swollen glands headaches and sick eating meat. The bacteria infection is is Borrelia.

Having dogs gets me a few every now and then. Cant be avoided especially after an afternoon's run out in the woods. Yours seems to be swelling bad though

Is that a fresh bite/pull?

It's the Lyme Disease bit which made me post this, wondering how often you get it from a tick bite? Depends on the ticks in the area partly. I'm hoping some people are immune, ideally me

I'm so anti-doctor, it will take something very bad to get me down there, the corruption has pushed me away. I used to run around in a local woods all the time as a child, must have been getting tick bites without realizing, so I'm hoping I've got some immunity. Also I hoping that my immune system is good enough to cope anyway, as I avoid vaccines, antibiotics, alcohol, Tylenol and all the other stuff which harms it, will keep you updated

Hey man, i tend not to trust doctors a lot too but if you get it treated right away you can avoid the risk of getting lyme disease. It can take months or even years for you to figure out that you are suffering from this and it can actually kill you. A late diagnosis is only partially treatable, it may take years to fully recover. This isn't one of those times to avoid antibiotics, this is equivalent to an untreated snake bite but a slower death..

We all want to protect our immune systems when possible but part of that is surviving shit like this first.

Quick explanation:-

Tylenol/Paracetamol suppresses the immune system by reducing the fever, the increased body temperature allows the white blood cells to function more effectively, but Tylenol lowers the temperature, thereby suppressing the immune system.

Antibiotics destroy both good and bad bacteria, so as well as nuking the bad guys we also nuke the good guys who are here to protect. It takes the good guys one year to recover, that means it takes your immune system one year to recover.

Alcohol blunts the immune system https://www.newscientist.com/article...immune-system/

Vaccines are an attempted hack on the immune system, sometimes the hack brings a small protection, but hacks often decrease overall stability and can backfire. By not allowing any hacks on our immune system, we enable it to fight off illnesses itself the way it was designed to, which toughens it up, meaning it will do better each new challenge sent it's way. As we've seen with flu vaccines, those who've had them are more likely to catch other types of flu the following year than those who don't receive them. (study below)

"we present the first observation of an unexpected association between prior seasonal influenza vaccination and pH1N1 illness during the spring and summer of 2009 in Canada. Specifically, outbreak investigation conducted during the early stages of the pandemic in a northern BC community identified that participants reporting pH1N1-related ILI during the period 1 April through 5 June 2009 were more than twice as likely to report having previously received seasonal influenza vaccine"

Thanks PR_Glen

Lyme disease is a nasty one for sure, definitely one to avoid, like you say sorting it early is key.

The bullseye rash has calmed down since yesterday, just a dot there now. I'm hoping that it's a sign that this one was Lyme free.

The pic that Loreen posted is an excellent example of the "bullseye" you have to watch out for as a warning sign for Lyme Disease.

The tick-borne mammalian meat allergy is independent of Lyme Disease.

As to the study cited, did you see this:
"Conversely, studies conducted outside of Canada have provided inconsistent results: 3 studies (from the United States and Australia) reported null effects [20–22], 4 (from the United States and Mexico) reported protective effects [23–26], and 1 other outbreak investigation (from the Untied States) reported increased risk [27]."

but, more importantly this:
"The lack of an immunization registry in British Colombia precluded further confirmation of immunization status."

Antibiotics won't help to cure a tick-borne encephalitis, because it's a virus

You are aware that ticks are biological weapons used by a top-secret government-backed intelligence service, as a way to prevent those who are close to uncovering information about the way the illuminati control the public, by introducing chemicals to your body via ticks to reduce human consciousness levels and prevent you from working out the secrets of the way slave 'free world' society works, thus preventing its downfall? Remember stay strong big guy, you know the truth, no pills, no vaccinations, the world needs you! Don't forget all the truth you've been sharing here, stay away from big-pharma, fight the bugs invading your body that are trying to destroy your brain and stop you thinking clearly.

On a serious note, go see a doc, don't let them tell you "you don't get Lyme disease in your city/region/country", you need antibiotics, the bulls eye rash you have if the indication used to diagnose Lymes, missing the window for treatment can result in long-term problems which cannot be treated, don't take a chance - it's not worth risking it.

ok but lyme disease doesn't work like that. you may not see symptoms for months and by that time it could be too late. this one is preemptive yes, probably you do not have it. but rebuilding your immune system does not take as long as most people think. most major systems get rebuilt right away in a healthy body and the rest is debatable whether even necessary unless you go on treks in the jungle. This is super low risk reward considering it could possibly kill you.
