My personal annoyance about Car ads. Do you get this Stateside too?
OK, all 'i cunt a4d' etc aside, this is really pissing me off.
I'm not exactly looking to purchase a new car atm, but I'm at the point where I'm starting to think about it. So, when I see an advert for a type of car I might like, I'm starting to click them. However instead of it taking me to examples of the range for the type of a car Ive clicked on, with info about the styles available, stats about the milage and running costs, extras, and most importantly, THE PRICE... Instead I find myself immediately directed to a credit calculator, which wants all my details in order to tell me how much credit is available for me to use towards a car. The actual car itself (The one in the ad I clicked on) is nowhere to be fucking seen, unless I navigate my way to it, and its usually not a one step journey either! I'm not being redirected, or mislead. I am ending up on the official BMW or Audi sites etc... Just always being taken directly to some kinda finance calculator page, instead of the car I want to learn about... Obviously they make money from finance, I understand that, but when I goto a BMW site or any other 'premium ' make of car, I wanna know WHAT IT COSTS FIRST. Not how much they are gonna lend me, before I have even seen the fucking car! Basically, if I wanna know about a car, TELL me about the fucking car! Excite me, invite me & entice me... Show me what a great car it is and make me want it... Then offer to help me finance it. Not the other fucking way around! Do you lot get that in the states, or do car ads take you to the car that you want to look at, like they should do here? /rant |
