No. It was ass-raped by the Russian Empire during war in 1605–1618. The Soviet Union has just bitch slapped Poland in a very easy and merciful way. It has not humiliated Poland at all. Just showed its place - nothing more.

Villages??? I don't want to insult you but it's 21st century outside. Please look aground. Russia was a village country 200 years ago. Today we live in post industrial era and villages here are literally dying because nobody wants to live and work there. Russia sends rockets to space and sells out high tech weapons, while Poland grows potatoes and apples for us. Russian villages were super duper cool and the Russian Empire has feed the whole Europe in 19th century, but everything changes. You grow potato, we build aircrafts and rockets to send your cosmonauts to the orbit. You have villages, we have modern technologies. What's wrong with that?

I've been a student of some Russian university located about 1,5 thousand of kilometers away from Moscow. And you know... we had a real super-duper oil pumping tower right in one of our buildings. There was no oil of course, but that crazy machine (you can't imagine how noisy it's inside a closed building) was working and it was built there to teach us the technology (yeah my first civilian specialty is associated with oil).

That's not a joke, I had a full-scale, real and working oil pumping tower inside of my university (not somewhere else, but right inside). My son had a nuclear reactor and a particle accelerator when he was a student (yes, he had access to a nuclear reactor and to a particle accelerator - sounds crazy but true).
