Why do Democrats claim to be against illegals yet all the sanctuary cities are controlled by Democrats?

I'm being serious. I think one of the huge issues plaguing our country is the amount of illegals we have in the country. It's completely shifting what our forefathers had intended our country to look like. If you're against illegal immigration, how do you vote for the (D) party?

Trump has dozens and dozens of undocumented workers working at his properties until after he became president and they were all out it and fired and sent back to their countries. They had worked there for decades.
