Charleston attack is assassination not hate crime

It will come out soon...

L-Pink 06-20-2015 07:55 AM

It was premeditated murder. There is no need to attempt to label it any more specific than that.

Barry-xlovecam 06-20-2015 08:18 AM

Jeb Bush called the church shootings an accident -- later he claimed he meant "incident".

Freudian slip?

‪#‎Fact1‬. Reverend/South Carolina Senator Clementa Pinckney (Killed) was the leading activist and community leader pushing and demanding that cops in Charleston South Carolina be forced to wear body cameras after the shooting of Walter Scott IN THE SAME CITY

‪#‎Fact2‬. The shooter was "GIVEN" a gun days after the shooting of Walter Scott

‪#‎Fact3‬. The shooter's first request when walking in the church was, "where the minister, I want to meet the minister"

‪#‎Fact4‬. The shooter lived 110 miles away from that church, if it was a "HATE CRIME" against black people, then why didn't he just shoot up any other black church, you can't randomly pick a church 110 miles away from your residence

#‎Fact5‬ He didn't attempt to kill everyone in the church but reloaded his gun 5 times, what person that commits a "HATE CRIME" spares people lives, if you hate all black people why not kill them all and he was actually heard saying "I want witnesses"

an assignation is a targeted murder for political or monetary reason, usually by by a paid third party ...

A hate crime is a traditional criminal offense like murder, arson, invasion of privacy or vandalism with an added element of bias towards a federally protected class of people.

sense made :2 cents:

BTW how does it feel to be federally protected like an endangered animal or plant?

You can ask yourself that question...since every race is considered a protected class...and thus any killing that targets any race is a hate crime.

When I saw Pinckney on the list that's the first thing I thought of. "HIT." Kid was coached thats for sure. On his own he sounds a mess. I hope they are looking at his family and associates.
I know the area well. Family has been there and in the region for more than 300 years.
Its become a weird mix of NRA, AB, Mexican gangs, Ultra-left and black people caught in the middle. I feel bad for the innocents.

do your home work.... not true at all... some subclass of race are federally protected... like homosexuals, and white women so your safe, but on whole white people are not federally protected...

in fact aren't all discrimination lawsuits against while people? so would white people be federally non protected or federally targeted?

either way not my concern.... I had no idea about this anyway until I looked up due to brassmonters question :2 cents:

It was a hate crime. He wanted to kill blacks. He wanted to bring back segragation and was worried that blacks were taking over.

This was a hate crime.

Wrong. All race fall under a protected class...not just "some subclass of race":

"Federal protected classes now include race, color, national origin, religion, sex (or gender), age (over 40), and disability. State law (HEPA) further protects ancestry, marital status, sexual orientation, as well as arrest and court record (in most cases)."

Wrong again...white plaintiffs have won cases where they have been victims of racial discrimination:

"McDonald v. Santa Fe Trail Transportation Co., 427 U.S. 273, 96 S.Ct. 2574 (1976). Two White employees and one Black employee were charged with stealing property from their employer. The two White employees were fired while the Black employee was retained. In the first big reverse discrimination case, the Court decided that Title VII is not limited to discrimination against minority persons, but includes discriminatory actions against majority persons as well."

Another case where a white person successfully claimed he was a victim of racial discrimination. So your premise is entirely false.

White Employee Wins Racial-Discrimination Lawsuit

"White supervisor fired for racial email has valid discrimination case over unequal discipline. A white supervisor received and then forwarded to others in the company a racial email titled ?Why There Are No Black NASCAR Drivers.? It contained a series of derogatory stereotypes of Blacks. The supervisor was fired for violating the company?s anti-harassment and improper-computer-use policies. He sued under Title VII, claiming that the discharge was racially discriminatory. The court agreed that he had a valid case because, in the same time frame, several Black employees had been using company email to circulate ?How to Dance Like a White Guy!? It contained a series of derogatory terms and stereotyped characterizations of white men. However, these employees only received short-term suspensions for violation of the harassment and computer policies. There was an appearance of racial disparity in the issuing of discipline for virtually the same infraction. Smith v. Lockheed-Martin Corp. (11th Cir., 2011)."

Dylann Roof confesses to killing 9 people in Charleston church, wanting to start ‘race war’ | myfox8.com

He himself bought the .45-caliber handgun used in the shooting last April at a Charleston gun store, according to the two officials.

Earlier, a senior law enforcement official had indicated that Roof?s father bought him a Glock firearm for his birthday.

You are correct in principle because of the way he presented the argument.

He tried to equate "Race is a protected class" with "Black is a protected class".
You were simply saying that "black is not a protected class anymore than any other race".
And that's correct based on the law.
