Not too many people offer advice or when people have questions they get called a loser or get roasted. There are a few that are constructive, but, a lot just don't help if you have a question. So in turn, people lurk and learn.

I scraped GFY about 1.5 years ago from the first threads up to about 2012. After parsing the raw web pages I ran queries on it.

At it's peak, circa 2005-2006, this forum got in the midish 25-26k posts per day (if I recall correctly).

I'd ultimately like to build a desktop app with something like Electron and make a forum notifier that talks to a database and notifies people. Far easier said than done :(. Forum owners would love it as it could create an addictive notification to revisit the forum.

Nothing big is going on.

gone are the real business threads. I can't remember someone did a contests thread last year.
