I don't think he will make it very much longer, as in days. I bet they knew this before he went into surgery last week. I think they hoped the surgery would be successful enough that he could continue on and it could go unannounced but it didn't so they had to announce.

McCain is utterly amazing when you look at his history. When I lived in Phoenix I voted for him every time.

He was involved in the 1967 USS Forrestal fire (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1967_USS_Forrestal_fire), was a POW in Vietnam, came home, married well, lived his life as a US Senator since 1987 or so.

I surely do not wish to make this political, but think of the irony here. McCain has the best healthcare the US has to offer.

If he has one thing going, even for his age, its that he's always been a fighter and tough. But the form of cancer he has, there is only a 30% chance of lasting 24 months. And that it not for an 80 year old man.
