That fieldhouse dude is a clown. Nice to see a solo girl with other talents though.
|
he needs a D.O.D. Death Metal Pedal kicking in every now and then to truly be hardcore
|
Melissa - sorry to say it but that guy really comes across as a total retard. Who would buy that shitty music and is it even regarded as rap?
I wish you all the best, but do yourself a favour and make some songs by yourself. Fieldhouse is being promoted as some kind of rich *gangster* rapper and he looks like some fat pale white kid. You however have a huge amount of success in what you do, so why the fuck are you letting this stupid asshole gain attention through your *celebrity*? I would understand if he were good but he isn't - don't care how many labels have approached him. Good luck with your *solo* singing career :thumbsup |

these mindwaste parody threads are becoming common

Hey Melissa you sound great. I will take the opposite side of the haters and say that there is a lot of music with a similar vibe being played and sold commercially. It's got a good sound if you are into that genre. To each his own.
Just a stupid opinion but personally I would choose a different name for your music career side. Not for the porn-mainstream separation but for me Melissa Midwest just doesn't grab me in terms of a hip hop or musician name/moniker... Good luck girl. You are beautiful, driven and your zest for exploring is truly a cool thing to watch. |

good luck on your album! |
I think you are the only one generating traffic to his site... he has almost no traffic on his myspace page and no traffic on his website. I hope you aren't dumping alot of money into this guy.
|
It's a lot better without the music video... :2 cents::1orglaugh
|
He better be paying you. Your celebrity status is much bigger than his.

It looks like you own Fieldhouse. |
And you say this guy's supposed to be talking to all the major record labels?
Chum no. He is an awful clown poser. Good luck though. |

I should post my cousin Satish's rap song. He is much better. His stage name is "Cool Satman".

vocals were ok, the rap was flat/feelingless/boring

hook up with mindwaste on some dirty south beats....that would be killer someone hook them up |
Here is a rapper that recorded at my buddies recording studio and 3-4 months later he was on 106th and park where he won the freestyle championship

So far his best offer is $350k for the finished album but after what he spent and then the cut KaliRecords get and what I get it doesn't leave him with much. There are also ring tones and then a tour that he would get paid on so it might be worth it but hard to say. I told him to hold out for more if they are offering that much and he is coming out of nowhere if I could generate some traffic and a little name for him that may go up quite a bit. It's like any business you never know but I always held out for the better deal and it worked for me so I am going off of that. Melissa |

I'm really happy for you hun! One of the nice things about running your own site is having the time and $ to seek out other things you enjoy. You are such a hottie and obv a hard worker and I wish you lots of happiness and success :) XO
ps-10x better than anything Tila Tequila ever did, and she sold a lot of music using her "internet popularity".. You should put your songs up on ur myspace and work it!!!:) |

I am still trying to figure out who this idiot is lol! His posts are pretty funny he is one of more annoying trolls I have ever seen on GFY in my many years. I don't have a pimp but my ex did help me with my sites I won't lie the 2 of us were a pretty good team at one time and we built quite the internet business as well as several other companies. You can say what you want but we have done well and to be honest I could walk away from everything and never have to work again and be fine for the rest of my life. I like to work and try new things I am only 26 years old and not ready to retire yet. You can keep talking all you want and I will keep working and making money. Thanks Melissa |
Like I said on your other thread.
Congrats Melissa, you said you were going to do it, and you did it. My wife recorded 3 new songs and they are scheduled to be on Itunes, Amazon, CDbaby and Rhapsody this week. You sound great. Most people have dreams, but you follow through and make them reality. Stay strong and don't let the haters get to you. Do what makes you happy. And remember, Behind every Successful person, lies a pack of haters. BUT...I have owned a record Label, we were in the Rap Game, then Rock. We did sell over 500K albums with one of our Rap artist, but we practically broke even with what we spent. If a label doesn't think they the first album will go Platinum, they won't even think about signing anyone. With Itunes and free downloads. The game has changed. If he got offered 350K he should jump on it with a little percentage on the back end. I agree with what some of these guys are saying, Do your own solo, do your own thing. I wouldn't go the Rap Route. With your fan base, I can see your fans expecting something else from you. But again, this is just my opinion. My Wife has her own fan base as well, she did her album more POP/R&B. But then again, she did it to do it. Not to make millions from it. She has a list of goals to accomplish and this was one of the last ones. Good Luck. |
