When I See People Wearing Masks...
...I feel better. A little safer. Do you? I still do not get close to anyone in the store or on the street but seeing most New Yorkers wearing masks does make me feel like everyone is at least trying to comply with social distancing and getting ahead of this virus.
Does it make you feel any better when you see your fellow citizens walking around with masks on? I wear mine when I go out, do you? |
I'm not leaving my house and haven't had a need to. So I'm not seeing people wearing masks.
I've got a box of N95s here at the house though, thanks to the Chinese company who makes a couple of my products for me. |
Talk about a false sense of security . . .
|
In Toyko & Soul they walk altime with mask to protect first themself from air conditions. Thats the reason why they have at moment so low cases after infects.
Aspecialy Europe is in thiscase to slow. But back to your question: Yes i feel safer when i see people with masks, but make this sense when they still smoke cigarettes before/after for the including death rate? |

Hardly see anyone here wear masks. Yet...
|
I wanna go out in a full Sub-Zero costume i still have from Halloween...
|
The other day I saw a Chinese guy with a mask on in his Honda Civic BY HIMSELF at the light & started cracking up hysterically. Don't ask me why. Went into the grocery store and about 1 out every 5 people had on masks and gloves.
|
My wife works for a doctor and we have masks and gloves here at home. I haven't been in a grocery store for almost two weeks. Next time I go out I'll be wearing them.

Do you really think the mask will help?
The fucking virus can get in you through your eyes if he wants to. |

If someone sneezes and you walk into it with a mask on you get 10 particles on you, and if you don't have a mask on you get 100. More exposure = more severe the symptoms are. Thats the way I've seen it explained by one virologist as to why some of these doctors and nurses are dying from it. |

I was grocery shopping at Wegmans and down the bread aisle there must have been 10 people. If you know Wegmans, those aisles are not all that wide - I don't know any of those folks or what their hygiene habits are - A lot were Asian or from India so that should give you a clue - It sucks to have to spray yourself down with disinfectant before getting in your car to go home - Then call home telling her to open the basement door so you can go down the cellar to remove your possibly infected clothing - Yeah it sucks - Quote:

Plus, any sort of mask supposedly does a good job on stopping an individual spreading the virus. This is especially useful if they are still pre-symptomatic. So I look at this as more of a preventative measure for others versus a protective measure for the wearer.

Not me. No gloves, no mask. I walk about five miles everyday. I wash my hands and don't touch my face. That's it... Let the chips fall where they may... |

Bottom line: it can't hurt, right? And if it helps even a little why not wear one?

I totally understand your point, but - respectfully - I just don't do things for show. Especially if everyone else is doing it... Bill DiBlasio just announced that he recommends New Yorkers wearing masks or scarves when going out. I'm so grateful for his announcement. There's no fucking way now that I'll wear a mask... |

6ft tall, 185lbs. Full physical exam on my birthday, Jan. 21. Nothing. I take zero medications. Those who are at high-risk need to isolate themselves. Not the other way around... I would welcome the virus. I'll get over it and move on. Or not. Let the chips fall where they may... |

That said, my wife hasn't left the apartment in 10 days. And she's younger and in perfect health. She's set her course and I've set mine. Everything else is just white noise... |
I love you , RandyRandy . . .
