I remember using that site when I was a newbie, so i just took a look...

it was the best resource site for a long time. is Boss Hawg still in porn even?

Pretty sure he is, seen him posting in a thread here not that long ago...

I have certainly used it a lot over the years. I think one of my old BBW tutorials is on there..it was at least.

Well i dont have 2002 but i did used that site a lot too.

Did use it quite a bit, but old netpond and some other places were gold mines too early on.

I was reading pornresource and xbiz before I started.
I think xbiz was different back then, more oriented to the small webmaster?

Well, i don't remember exactly, but surely the industry was different back then, much less programs and tradeshows... I know that both xbiz and pornresource provided a great range of articles and resources than could help a newbie..

Like Sharky, they must all be busy with other projects...

I was gonna say there had to been a problem because I check the site every couple days and I know sure as fuck that there was a recent article before 2 years ago.. heh

Dino has been doing most of the articles, atleast the ones I read are.

It use to be a cash cow in the SEs but not so much lately.

I wrote an article for them years and years ago....In fact, before I came to GFY, I started on newbiewebmasters and on there, I heard about here....

I haven't been to Porn Resource in a good while and when I went today, I noticed the last article was from 2006, which would be even 3 years ago, hence I made this thread

on a side note though, that "Tracking the adult industry" part, on the bottom of your site, is probably already inaccurate, if you're using numbers from the Overture tool, which unfortunately got closed around 2 years ago....

Yeah I am still around, plugging away on various projects. Just switched some MySQL stuff on the PornResource server but all should be fixed.

The good old SEO days. We did dominate for a while, was fun while it lasted :)

Dino is still around and writing articles occasionally for the site. Most of the time he does other work for us on our other projects.

@BVF.. va2k....Man.....that is a blast from the past. Haven't seen him around in ages. Who knows what happened to him. He was a character though.

@polish...Yeah the data actually is not overture anymore for some sections. It is actually another data source as overture has been down for a while. I have the data in the db but not displaying correctly on the sites pages. Need to just spend some time cleaning up the site one of these days.

Was always a fan of PR but think I started on YNOT. Also, I always read the Andy Dunn newsletter back in the day
