Is this normal behaviour?

I left a 2 star facebook rating for a local business last night after visiting last Thursday.

Today the guy sent my employer an email with the Facebook review and also called several times.
I wasn't at work but my boss was getting quite distressed by it.

He wanted me to delete the review which I have now done but I though it was a bit out of order and extreme.

Do facebook ratings mean that much to people?

Scott McD 08-18-2016 09:50 AM

You should have changed it and made it a 1 star rating...

Bladewire 08-18-2016 10:07 AM

They're supposed to contact you and kiss your ass to keep your business and change your rating.

Don't take this the wrong way, are you a minority?

The only possible reason I can think of not dealing with you directly, and going to your employer of all things, is that you're a minority they are not comfortable dealing with and trying to get their way through your white empmloyer, while they seem to have some kind of pull with.

as long as it was a true rating for a business, then the owner of that business is in the wrong.

May I ask, what kind of business, service & product did you receive & expect?

You could write the comment as extra, saying that the owner is now being persistently abusive because you were truthful about the rating, if this was the case :2 cents:

Ya companies with bad service need to be outed. I hate reading good ratings that help decide to try them out myself and then getting something bad. Leave truthful ratings and help people save money and headaches. Those bad owners would be out of business faster if everyone knew to avoid them.

This honestly sounds psychotic

SilentKnight 08-18-2016 07:37 PM

Lesson learned - never disclose your employer on your FB profile.

ErectMedia 08-18-2016 07:50 PM

Restraining order in motion :1orglaugh

If legit review fuck em let it ride unless free shit comes your way to make up for it. Asking somebody to delete a legit review with no form of fix I'd tell em pound dirt. :2 cents:

Should post a new one saying they stalked your work to get it removed. :winkwink:

Why would you have your employer's info on your facebook profile anyway? I can't see any possible upsides, and ton of obvious downsides, like the drama like you just experienced...

It's not even about how ratings mean much to people, but the main fact here is that you gave that rating because that is your point of view about it.
Whether it is Facebook, Skype or any other sites, you have the right to rate them based on the service that you received from them.

fris 08-19-2016 05:47 AM

legit reviews should stay, if you had a bad experience its worth telling people.

Don't give in to the bullying, step things up, head to TripAdvisor

That is a crazy one...

Barry-xlovecam 09-05-2016 02:47 PM

Assuming you are in the USA; send him a C&D (cease and desist order) certified mail with a signed return receipt. If he harasses you or your employer again -- go to court and get a restraining order -- set this chump up for an harassment lawsuit.
