I clicked on this thread thinking that it would have pics of a cop pulling someone over while wearing a pair of buttless chaps, buns drawn. Very disappointing.

Oh shit....Bridgeton New Jersey. My hometown.

Just saw makeabuck is from there too. I grew up on Laurel Street. What part of town did you live in?

bronco67 01-22-2015 07:07 AM

Ok, the guy wasn't complying, but how is it justified to pump him full of bullets for just stepping out of the car with his hand up?

Police apologists...3, 2, 1...GO

CamTraffic 01-22-2015 07:07 AM

Cop warned him 20 times. Why didn't he cooperate? I don't like to bad mouth the dead's but dayummm that was so dumb.

PS: also glad the cop that shot him wasn't white...

really? I am right by the bowling alley off of Landis. I live on Garton bordering Rosenhayn.

Where do you live now, and when did you leave?

This wasn't their first rodeo. Pretty sure one was already in jail for shooting at a police officer.

rogueteens 01-22-2015 07:24 AM

you just do not argue with someone who has a bun drawn.

Offense: PUBLIC POLICY OFFENSES | Prison Start: 09/14/2007 | Max Term: 15Years

There is Reid's prison sentence. Didn't take him long to get back into trouble did it.

Brassmonkey posted this earlier and consensus was that he didn't do noffins and was framed by white cops.

I left in 88 and live in Connecticut now. Remember the Bridgeton Drive In? I spent so many nights sneaking in there to see R rated movies and drinking in the woods. Real South Jersey shit.

I actually didn't move here until 2006 so I don't remember that stuff.

How old are you? Probably all the same people still in this town that you went to school with.

Rochard 01-22-2015 08:22 AM

I don't understand this either. I was taught as a kid that when pulled over you do not move around in the car, take your keys out of the ignition, and put both hands on the steering wheel.

This recent shooting... Not even caring. A gun was discovered at the scene, the passenger was told not to move, and got out of the car. Don't give me any of this "he had his hands up" bullshit. He was told not to move and instead exited the car. It even looks like the officer tried to prevent him from opening the car door.

Would you say that if a friend or family member had their hands up but didn't follow directions completely? You don't deserve to die for not doing what a cop says, even if you're being hard headed. How is a body full of bullets the proper response for standing there with your hands up? Cops don't have the right to kill you because they feel slightly threatened.

They're our servants, not our executioners.

JTC 01-22-2015 09:20 AM

Every time I got pulled over I would roll window down put hands on steering wheel and shit car off and even if the cop was total prick I would keep my mouth shut....

You have a very selective interpretation of the facts

1) They HAD A GUN
2) The officer saw him reaching for the gun
3) The officer was telling him time and time again to stop reaching for it and put his hands up
4) The officer was warning him that if he didn't stop and show him his hands, he'd get shot
5) The guy is clearly refusing to comply with any of the officers instructions
6) The guy jumps out of the car for no reason (hands up is irrelevant) and moves towards the officer

OH... OH FUCKING YEAH... THATS RIGHT... THERE WAS SOMETHING ELSE..

7) The officers knew who he was and were addressing him by name

AND FUCKING NUMBER 8

8) The guy in addition to the other items on his criminal record, had a already served time in prison for shooting at a cop

So yeah... if my friend or family member was this fucking stupid, this much of a piece of shit and just a piece of human garbage like this guy who was clearly begging for a confrontation with an officer pointing a gun at him... then out of respect for the rest of the world, i'd understand the need to cull him from the gene pool.

First I try "can you please cut me a break just this one time. My job depends on me having a clean driving record."(total lie of course but it sometimes works)

If that does not work then I just hand over my DL and registration and insurance and do not make any other comments.

Then I get out of the ticket in court.

These actions are much preferable to getting shot by a police officer.:2 cents:

This is true. I just drove past two Dunkin Donuts and a Tim Hortons. All three had multiple cops in the parking lot.

Did you know that both of these places (and lots of others) will give the officers Coffee and Donuts for free?

Actually, the cop was fucking way over reacting about the gun. People are allowed to own guns, that cop was acting like the guy was pointing the gun at his head. That cop should of been fired soon as the video was seen and charged with murder.

Notice the other cop was not acting like that..it was only the one whom freaked out and shot the guy. I'm just amazed the driver was able to keep his cool after having the guy get shot next to him.

The guy is a CONVICTED FELON. He is NOT allowed to have a gun. He was NOT supposed to get out of the car. He did not comply, and that's why he's dead.

Total bs! You get stopped by a cop do you pop the glove box to show your gun? Maybe mention the gun in a reasoned voice and ask for instruction? Follow the instructions giving? Come on, there is no way this is a bad shooting.

I know the bad things police do. I'm completely bi-polar in posting bad cop stuff good cop stuff. But have some fucking COMMON SENSE. You're a CONVICTED FELON, you HAVE A GUN, police says STAY IN CAR, you THROW OPEN THE DOOR and get shit.

Fucking RIGHT!

This comes down to RESPECT. Parents fail to teach their kids this. IF one of my children behaved that way to a police officer and they were shot, obviously I was be sad, because it was stupid not to comply, but I would hold no grudge against the police officer who shot them. I would not shout injustice. I am not blinded by love.

No cop puts on their uniform and says I'm going to kill some black folk today just fucking because. If he shot him it's because he felt his life was in immediate danger and no other reason.

aka123 01-22-2015 11:00 AM

Is that common that police in US threatens to shoot people (to dead) in somewhat peaceful situation? In addition the cop actually shot the guy.

And yes, of course the shot man did mistake by coming out of car. Although dead sentence might go a bit overboard.

For starters, did they really have a gun?

And the "not complying" part was basically coming out of a car. I expect police officers to take risks with their own lives, not with others.

I do expect them to be arrested for that (2 years in prison in case if they have no license). A usual situation in my country. Nobody will kill 'em just for having a gun in the car and arguing with police, of course :2 cents:
