Who the fuck is fucking us

Hi

Well are it the advertisers or are it the ad companies ?
I have 1.500.000 daily impressions and 3 months back that was good for an ECPM of over 0.06 today I am at a shocking 0.36. What the fuck. Are advertisers bidding less and less or what is going on ?
How are your ecpms ? impressions I dont care about I talk about ecpms.
Off course it has to do with where your place the ads but most of us use the NTV's.

Please let me know.
Regards
Freek

A huge portion of the ecpm in adnetworks comes from shady mobile carrier offers that use 1click direct carrier billing practices to scam the users out of money. More and more mobile operators are now making their rules a lot stricter in regards of content and the billing process itself, so that's probably why you see it dropping and will probably continue to drop as the telcos make stricter and stricter rules. Try to break down by country and device and by carrier if you can and you will see where the big drops are.
Like I heard recently Vodafone in a big European country changed the direct carrier billing process (from 1 click to like 3 clicks), those things have a huge impact on your ecpm because that's where a large portion of the income comes from.

Which traffic broker are you using to sell your traffic?

Well I did not tell the name of the broker because I dont want to start a thread about ALL the different ones. I just see that my ecpm keeps dropping while my traffic stays the same or is even higher then before.
I see the big drop with my 300x250 NTV ads.

So how are your ecpms

I don't see any significant changes on CPM.

i blame AdBlock

On a phone, an ad blocker is essential. It's bad enough on a tablet when ads clog up the page. On a phone, it would drive me mad.

All advertising companies F their customers over in 1 aspect or another. Sad but true, would be nice if there were just 1 non-shady one. But they know the money's there, and how there's techniques available to fool even the smartest , tech savy customers . (advertisers)

dunno who you're using, but JuicyAds is fairly decent from my experience. One of the best that you'll find, in the adult world. Not too much shady junk, as long as u restrict settings properly. They even listen to their customers , publishers ,for what to recommend for the future. Not many companies do that.

But then again, they could get bought out tomorrow by somebody...and ruin everything instantly. Like the way webcams.com just got ruined.

It's hard to have trust in this industry, when everybody's gettin bought out left and right.

There are several reasons why earnings decreased in recent months.
-Last couple month mobile affiliate company dont have new offers,
-And they force the same 4-5 same countries where is market not too big excluding UK.
-Mobile carrier market is too small.
-Broker company raise prices of traffic for advertisers but on the other side publishers does not increase earnings.....I think that is because advertisers don't whant buy exensive traffic because they cant find positive revenue.
I really don't understand this politics of traffic brokers they really confused me....for example on some broker company mobile banner traffic for CH is 100 - 140 $ per 1000 visitors on the other side mobile affiliate networks say that is best results for CH carrier traffic is 50-100$ per 1000 visitors ( in reality this number is about 15-20$ per 1000 visitors )....If you are a publisher and send traffic to the brokers network, for example, for the same CH you will see that you dont make anything or something minimal revenue you will see is statistic , why they do???? for me this look like brokers does not want to sell traffic to advertisers, or they have some offers that convert like crazy (ok but pay in this case publishers for they traffic)
My question is why they do that???

It would help to know what GEOs you have, how much mobile and how much desktop. But yes carriers are stricter now, but a drop like you see is too much. The last big market that got really shut down was Germany and there was in the last 4-5 month anyway only 1 carrier alive with the "premium" flows
