twitter porn allowed?

I've been reading Twitter's TOS and from what I understand is that porn is not allowed on profile pic or cover image.

Quote:

Pornography: You may not use obscene or pornographic images in either your profile photo, header photo, or user background.
However, on another guideline, it tells user to flag porn in a tweet, which is not allowed. Obviously there are so many twitter accounts on there, who posts nudity porn with ridiculous amount of followers.

So what is the bottom line of getting or not getting your account suspended when posting porn on Twitter?

seeandsee 12-29-2014 06:43 AM

Not post NSFW pics for start

TrafficRush 12-29-2014 06:48 AM

Yes do not post anything that you wouldn't share with your family or their children on twitter.. Could be a bad news bear for ya!

Mickey_ 12-29-2014 07:05 AM

Avoid using hardcore imagery in the three spots mentioned in the TOS, other than that, hardcore content in posts is fine (for now).

ITraffic 12-29-2014 07:25 AM

go do your research on twitter itself. all your questions will be answered.

That's what I thought, not anywhere else but in a tweet is fine, but their TOS contradicts itself by saying if you spot a porn tweet, please flag it.

Obviously don't spam or post links constantly.

Wonder how those explicit porn twitter account survive with 30k odd followers.

Just had an account deleted from twitter that was started back in 2009...heh FUCKERS! No nudity in profile pic or header...

It's hard to answer a question like this because it depends. Depends why they are following you, who you are and the relationship you have with your followers.

For me it's a great way to stay in touch when I'm not broadcasting. I will try to get over 30% engagement rate on my tweets.

For example here is a tweet I posted one hour ago
http://f.cl.ly/items/0L1D0e1Y1N370r1...03.16%20PM.png

I will be happy if I have an engagement rate of 30% or more (either a click, follow or a favorite).

This month so far I have had 1.4 Million impressions

Just don't use Hardcore pictures in your header or profile image. Make sure you do post images that are considered NSFW that you mark them as sensitive content.

You can also go into settings and set all images to me marked as sensitive.

If you get your account "Banned" Submit to have the ban lifted.

Not hard at all.

In the last five years, I have not lost a single adult themed Twitter account.

What do you base your 30% off of? 30% of your current followers?

^^^^^^ This. It's pretty clearly stated.

Posting images within tweets, no problemo, as that isn't in their TOS.
{I haven't had any issues with it in 6 or so years, anyway...and have had plenty of direct contact with @support over the time period.}

Simple. Follow their rules, and don't directly {meaning tag} spam other twitter accounts that don't want it.
The one thing that is bad is to send the same tweet again and again to individuals.
{@Girl, do you want to model - @girl2, do you want to model - @girl3, do you want to model....etc}, for example.

Ok that makes sense :)

Like OmahaJoe said, Go to account settings. Put a check mark next to "Mark media I tweet as containing material that may be sensitive"

Here is my question. If you have a new follower for an an obvious NSFW account and the user mentions God or religion in their profile to you block them?

I don't, unless they start to post things "@" me about that...

czarina 12-29-2014 03:08 PM

porn per say, is not allowed.
Nudity is, as long as there are no spread coochies or penises. They're pretty lenient, though.

Nope, don't really care. I keep all followers unless they become annoying spam bots that @ mention the account all the time.
