Bottom line is, if you only have access to low quality, dated content.. you wont be making money anytime soon. I'm sure he is aware of the other obvious factors involved.

That's an important factor but not enough on its own. Marketing is always either the #1 or #2 most important factor. Some would say that's a given but a lot of people have no clue.
