Boardwalk Empire - Happy with season finale? Excited for next season?
 

I personally loved this show. I think they did a great job and I don't want to ruin it for anyone who hasn't seen it, but they definitely set it up for a nice storyline next season. Does this show have the potential to be as good as Sopranos....to be honest, MAYBE....

Of course that is just my opinion and I am sure alot of people will not agree.

That 1 season was already a lot better than all seasons of the Sopranos combined.

The ending was awesome. Best show on tv.

Agent Nelson may be one of the best played creepy characters of all time. Worth a best supporting actor Emmy IMO.

Agree. Far better than The Sopranos and one of the best shows on TV right now.

I have a feeling no one is going to be saying "Season 1 was great but S2 sucked" with THIS show. They've built up several plot points in the story to the point where it gives everyone a strong feeling that S2 is going to blow the lid off things. I don't see it disappointing on that.

I was thinking the same thing watching the season finale.

BS. It's definitely better than the last few seasons of The Sopranos, but not as good as season 1-3.

I think that Sopranos is funny sometimes. It's funny that a mafia man would purchase a visit to a psychologist.

That show sucks, the actors suck and are badly casted, the plot is cheesy and predictable, the writing is boring, it's full of poorly placed gratuitous nudity and violence, it's like watching a bad train wreck with a rediculously bad sound track.

How anyone can compare this with Sopranos is beyond me, how anyone can like Steve Buscemi as the lead blows my mind...

I've watched 5 episodes trying to like it but it's just tarded.

I think Dexter is pretty good this season, although they are recycling plot lines, but still interesting to see if Dexter's hair piece will fall offf while he's trying to kill someone LOL, but still my fave show so far this year.

I think Walking dead is kinda cheesy but more watchable than BoringWalk empire.

I mean, cmon' Buscemi with his Helium sucking voice and fish eyes trying to be a bad ass :1orglaugh

Indeed it was, and I liked the Sopranos a lot as well.

boardwalk definitely rocking, buscemi is great and his character is a welcome departure from the new yawk mafia bullshit characters.

the only good mafia movie or series post godfather was goodfellas, everything else just ripped it off but Boardwalk Empire has potential.

I don't get why people are comparing it too the Sopranos, to me it has more of Deadwood feel.

And that being the case, I wouldn't be surprised if nothing ever really happens in the show except alot of great costumes parading around.

Still fun to watch though.

Lol at the sopranos. That show is not even as good as current boardwalk empire, let alone such top notch hits as sopranos or the wire or few more. Its definitely A level show, but not on the A+ or A++ level and never will be.
Of course that does not mean you can not like it more than sopranos, its subjective. However speaking about objective quality - no. Except special effects, but thats only secondary quality for a TV show.

why did they cancel deadwood? It was great show, can not believe they did not have enough viewers...

By the way for me walking dead has Survivors (the UK show) feel. Very much, it even looks like a copy LOL. Except there are zombies and in survivors - people are dead instead of being zombies.

Some great, great characters on that show. Too many for me to even remember at this moment.
