Doctors produce first-ever MRI scan of baby at the moment of birth

Doctors at a Berlin hospital have made a medical breakthrough after capturing live MRI images of the miracle of birth.

The pictures, taken after a German mother agreed to give birth inside a magnetic-resonance imaging machine, could provide valuable new insights into the birthing process and save lives in the future.

it's magnetism, not x-ray. no radiation, just noise. mother wore earplugs and they stopped the MRI when the baby came out. read that yesterday. and there will be a video coming soon.

xrays are dangerous...but mri's are relatively safe for anyone

they use magnetic fields and radio waves.

however, surrounding yourself in a large magnetic field has to be doing things to your body, electrolyte systems..iron? etc

who knows, some people with back pain sleep on magnetic beds
