Offering solace to weary travelers, the Russian architects at Arch Group have designed the Sleep Box concept for use in airports, where privacy is seldom found. Along with wifi connectivity, the interiors feature space for laptops, luggage and mobile devices. To maintain a sanitary environment, the beds use a system that changes the sheets automatically.

I've always wondered why they didn't offer something like that, always figured it would be the japanese to develop it though...

I have not slept in those but have crashed in tiny "day rooms" at one of Japan's airports. Not much larger than those, but they do come with a little bathroom.

Stayed in something close to that at the Amsterdam airport when i had a 18 hr wait

Oh boy, I can see the Larry Craig's of the world taking full advantage of these. A "wide stance" may be a problem though.

I've used the Yotel capsules at Schipol before and the capsule hotels in Japan before but never one of these - yet :)

They have similar rooms at Swedish universities. It's pretty awesome.
They only thing that's missing is a condom dispenser.

I fly a lot of redeyes, I wish the big american hubs like Houston would install these... I usually rest my head on a desk in the presidents club.

I could swear the Japanese had something like these back in the 80's or 90's. Always thought they were a cool idea and wished they'd bring them to the states.

Narita had the capsules like they do in the cities. Not sure if they still have them.

I don't think they do, I spent the night there recently because I missed a flight and the whole airport is closed after 12am, doors locked and everything. Nobody allowed to stay in the terminals or outside.
