Which one if either is "better" ???

XBOX 360 = more games, and with that high quantity are some pretty shitty games also.

PS3 = better exclusives --- across the board.

You can't play Assasin's Creed, Uncharted or God of War series on the xbox. What's on the Xbox that's just as good? Gears of War, maybe, but that's just one game. Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 are fucking masterpieces of console gaming.

Also, you have to worry about getting that red ring bullshit with the xbox. I personally know 2 people that have had that happen -- and they're the only 2 people I know with Xboxes. Not good odds.

I think that stopped being a problem 2007/2008 but I'm not sure.

I have both, i like the ps3 better.
Controller is more comfortable in my hands, better exclusives, can play bluray, etc.
Kinect might be cool, but if i didn't have an xbox already I wouldn't buy it just for that. I have a Wii too, which i got bored of after a couple of weeks. Sometimes you just wanna sit the fuck down and play a game and not always have to be jumping around flailing your arms like a retard.

It's funny...anyone I know with a Wii is sorry they bought it because the novelty of waving around to play games wore off pretty quick.

If you're gonna plan on playing a lot of online games, then go with the Xbox360, the PS3 can't compare to the online setup of the Xbox360

If you're looking for a blu-ray player, go with the PS3, plus like someone else said, they do got some great exclusives like the Uncharted series, those games are phenominal.

I had it for a year or so and it was fun.. I only sold it because there were rumors that sony and ms will release something similar also :)

just got the XBox360 Kinect - by far a much better implementation of the wii-style playing and more fun. And to have the freedom to play proper games when the kids are in bed is great.

I like how the PS3 is fairly quiet, it doesn't have a fan blowing full blast all the time.

My kids have them all but it's the XBox that gets used all of the time.

I have xbox 360 and is really cool, but PS3 plays blu-ray discs...

get xbox for using kinect and ps3 for blue ray.

I'd say it depends on the games you like to play and if you are looking for blu-ray player. Still happy with my PS3 although it's not as quiet as it used to be. (the old one, not the slim version)

PS3 hands down. I've had them since they came out and maybe am a bit biased, but I also have xbox which I set up yesterday and played for a while. Its not bad, but has a lot of faults compared to PS3

I went and bought Kinnect for it yesterday afternoon and to be fair me and my girlfriend had a great time playing that for a couple hours. I don't see me doing hardcore gaming on xbox tho.

Since you already have blu-ray I'd recommend getting the Xbox 250 GB Kinect bundle that includes two games ( Forza 3 and Alan Wake ).

Then you'll be set for the upcoming Kinect game releases like Authentic Greco-Roman Wrestling

The new xbox 360 is whisper quiet. Can barely hear it no matter how long it's on or what game you're playing.

As someone said depends on which if any exclusives you prefer.

Also if you like to play online XBL Gold is $60 a year. Also if you will use your system for things like Netflix or Hulu plus those feature are free( other than the subscription fees for both ) which you need the $60 XBL Gold to use those on the 360. Frankly I think it's shitty requiring me to pay $60 a year to use my Netflix susbcription I already pay for. I also dislike how the XBOX dashboard is becoming littered with ads. How much fucking money does Gates need?

Umm Assasin's Creed is on the xbox 360

Sometimes you can get a deal on 12 month LIVE cards for as little as $39.95. You can buy a couple at that price and stack your subscription. $60 does seem like a lot but when you break it down to time used versus money spent and it's still a great deal for those that get a lot of use out of it.

As for having to pay for XBL Gold just to use your Netflix, that's not a fair gripe since that is really just an add-on to the Xbox features that you're really paying for. A bonus so to speak.

I was using the ps3 alot for games and blue rays. But since i started playing black ops i have been on the xbox 360 non-stop. Also since they added the netflix component to xbox it's being used alot more often with our family.

If you have a blu ray player already get the xbox 360, if you don't get the PS3

I bought both around the same time and my Xbox 360 has had 1,000x the use. I have maybe played my ps3 a total of 4-5 times in the 1-2 years I have had it.

I guess it depends on the games you like. I prefer Halo, COD, etc and have become accustomed to the Xbox controller which is probably why is gets more play time.

I do plan to buy the new Gran Turismo for ps3 along with a racing seat and steering wheel, at that point it will get used a lot more.

Not to mention, it's likely Xbox and Nintendo release new systems in the next 2 years (so you'll likely want to buy the new one), while Sony has no plans to do so as their machine is already extremely powerful and it's capacities are not being used by developers. There is also talk Sony plans to simply offer "plug and play" components to boost their system power/graphics once it is needed, and hold off on PS4 until it has something revolutionary to offer the gaming world.

Have an xbox 360 as well, not playing it very often (lately not all all), have to be honest, always hated the noise of the fans.

I have a PS3, my stepson brings his 360 when he visits, but ends up playing my PS3

HDMI > 55" big screen + surround, so games and Blu-ray movies (which PS3 plays) rock
