PROMOTE THIS SPONSOR in 2011, detailed stats for you inside
Some of you may be promoting this program already, if not, I suggest you give them a go. I predict huge things for these guys in 2011.
It is a sponsor I've been pushing since the middle of the year. There are no issues with stolen content, it's an adult virtual world that people have to download first (and then get out their credit card when hooked) :thumbsup They pay me $75 per sale for those 267 sales below, new affiliates however are on $60 or 60% recurring. Join here. http://freetrialpills.com/rlc.gif Have a profitable new year folks. |

That's how business works, or are you naive enough to believe otherwise? :1orglaugh |

I bought some slots on some gaming forums to some success, but few will allow adult banners / programs. One WoW forum owner tried to rip me off and I stopped going that route. |
I almost forgot about Redlight Center... Been meaning to try em for like a year now.
|
I'll be honest, I've been holding off on promoting these guys because their avatars strike me as kinda ugly and real old tech -- the wood elves in 1990s EverQuest were hotter. Hell, even the high elves were hotter in a beef-and-cabbage kinda way. I keep hoping somebody will come along to compete with them that has better-looking more modern avatars.
But if it converts, meh, maybe I should get off my technological high horse. |
is there any other of these virtual sex sites as well out there? ref code is ok ; )

The Canadians who run it are a smart bunch, the soft sell works incredibly well. |

I pulled traffic to it. I like Terry and the kink.com crowd, that program just didn't convert well at all for me with the same traffic source. |
I did convert well with them in 2009 and not as well in 2010. But they do recur really well.
|
Yeah, I am afraid I was also rude to the Red Light Center guys early on, they approached me on one of my blogs and asked me to review their software. I took one look at the Flash download and said "You fucking kidding? Nobody in their right mind is going to download a flash app from an untrusted source, that's insane, your whole business model is fucked." (This was years ago when Flash was even more buggy and ridden with security horrors than it still is.)
Obviously I should have listened to H.L. Menken or P.T. Barnum or whomever it was that said nobody ever went broke by underestimating the intelligence of the public. |
I did do some split testing. For my traffic, the PPS was the better option. Here are my percentage account stats:

I should add that I've done OK promoting 3D Kink from KinkyDollars, which like the Red Light product has the advantage of being impossible to pirate, and has prettier avatars. But the products aren't competitors at all. I like to describe 3D Kink as being like "paper dolls for grownups" ... you can dress and undress the avatars, pose them, play with them, make them orgasm, earn coins to buy more sex toys and clothes and stuff, but there's no multiplayer, no social aspect, no cybersex, no other people.
Selling 3D Kink properly is also a lot of work. It's like blogging, I don't mind telling people how to do it, because nobody will take the advice. You can't just send people to the signup page, or put up the banners; that fails miserably (bad ratios). I find I've actually got to use the product, play with it at time-consuming length, take screen shots, and use them to illustrate blog posts. When people see that ... when they see that I'm telling my own story with pretty pictures I made with the product ... then they get interested and are more inclined to buy. |

$60 a sale does seem the better route. I did the recur. They do recur well but $60 seems pretty decent.
I certainly dont mind signing up under anyone who has something that is converting. Seems a fair deal. :) |

I always sign up with programs I find on here with the person's affiliate code, it's only right. The member helped me find the program in the first place, it doesn't cost me a dime, and they earn some wedge in the process. A 3 way win. |
So to join as an affiliate I have to join the site I'm going to promote?
There's a "Referred By" field on the join form, are you sure you're getting credit for referring people with that link? |
Is it really still a CCBill program? The flash tour states that it is under "How do I get paid?" with "you get paid directly by CCBill, our payment processor" but everything I see so far suggests otherwise.

interesting program, could be winner

Which I didn't bother with, because at the time, the idea that surfers would sit through that in order to try a product from an untrusted source seemed laughable. But this was years and years ago -- by now, their tech may well have changed, and surfer attitudes surely have. Are you saying it downloads an installable/executable with a certificate now? |

I got curious so I went back through my old email archive.
What happened was, in 2006 they started hitting me over and over with semi-automated emails on one of my cleaner blogs, begging me to join their affiliate program and blog about their product. Here's the actual blunt email I sent them after the first time they didn't take "no" for an answer: Quote:

I will give a try!

Hm looks interesting, maybe a nice addon for tubes
|
they only pay by check?
contact me on ICQ, and show me please a little how you promote them, and I will sign up under you |
their sign up is confusing. you have to create another ccbill account - can't merge with your regular ccbill account. at least when i signed up before. maybe it's changed.
i generally see them promoted via banner ads on tube and image hosting sites, although i'm going to try and few different angles as i like the idea. |
Signed up under your affiliate link as well. Thanks for the heads up. Bump for business.

http://b.imagehost.org/0415/3dkink.jpg But you are showing a better conversion rate for utherverse than I am for 3D Kink. It truly is all based upon traffic sources. There have been many sponsors I wanted to push throughout the years because they had good people behind them, just couldn't get them to convert for whatever reason. My traffic converts 3D Kink better, yours is the opposite. Maybe I will give Utherverse a shot again and see what happens this time around. Anyone wanting to push 3D Kink - Feel free to use my link. :thumbsup |

Tjeezers, I get paid via wire transfer. I hate cheques with a passion. Drop me a line, I don't have ICQ. My email addy is oilybutts@@@@@yahoo.com I should get credit for any signups just using that link, otherwise in the referred by field can you add mrplough2 please. Search engine traffic converts the best of course - some phrases to kick you off in the right direction: sex games adult myspace adult games sex rpg adult rpg rpg sex games adult mmorpg virtual sex virtual world virtual dating game https://adwords.google.com/select/KeywordToolExternal |

How much does a membership cost? I wonder how long they stick for on average

?Unlimited access to VIP-only regions, content and features ?Private messenging ?Private apartment ?Advanced Avatar Customization ?VWW Population Capacity of 10 people ?Virtual Currency Transactions Universal VIP - from $29.99/month ?All VIP-Only features listed above plus... ?Raises VWW Population Capacity to 25 people ?Grants the member a "Universal VIP" pass ?Unlocks the ability to purchase larger VWW Population Capacities ?Additional VWW features such as advanced tools, stats, Ad discounts I would recommend the PPS route. Reason? 60% recurring of $20 is $12, which means they have to stay at least 5 months for you to get the same as the PPS option. With my traffic, they were averaging 2-3 months membership. |
