"Live" interactive sites will continue to prosper and grow as free content/piracy keeps expanding on the net killing off picture/recorded video content sites. Surfers are always looking for the next thing to get them off. Once production slows to a crawl and new content to feed piracy dwindles, they will grow tired of watching the same free videos, and will move to interactivity to fulfill their needs. :2 cents:

:) Porn will ALWAYS be here but in changing forms. I do believe, IF the gov't or someone does not stop FREE porn, you will see very few webmasters around spending 10-12 hours a day trying to get signups. I remember getting 35-40 signups A DAY easily back in the late 90's. Now it's just 2-3 a week. That's why I heavily promote phone sex. Non free out there although some sites say they are free but if you read all the fine print you will have to pull your CC out.

Believing there will be lot's of webmasters GONE there will be many many programs gone also. Just a matter of reality thinking here. I wished it was not true but the writing is on the wall.

Mainstream, where you sell products, won't die because you are dealing with a physical product. I buy/sell rare coins being in the business over 50 years and am finding the internet to be better than the brick and mortor store I had for 30+ years. It's a market I know and I make VERY GOOD money at it on a daily basis.

If you know something mainstream that you can physically market yourself ... by all means GO FOR IT NOW. Don't waste any time. You'll be glad you did.

Just like in 2001, the economy has to improve. People won't drive the same olds car forever, they will go buy new ones. All kinds of pent up demand will remind us of the 2001-2007 economic expansion, then when it gets overheated it'll contract again. Nothing new.

Ps yes I know it's politically correct to forget the bust of the last couple years of Clinton and pretend that Bush sr. - early Clinton boom just kept going. The fact is, in 2001 we were hoping the bust of 2000-2001 would end.

Looks like my wish didn't fulfill - on April 24,penguin update was introduced,and 3 millions of webmasters lost their income over night.But atleast this time it cannot be worse any more.A lot of things happened in 2012,but google is probably biggest problem of all.

I came back from 2020 just to post this...time machines are everywhere now in the future. Except they smell funny (people mistake them for public washrooms and piss on the floors).

And another year as we speak is passing by.So let's recap what happened so far starting with end of 2010 -i predicted how things will get worse,so it did.On 2011 i also predicted how things will go worse,so it did.And on end of 2012 i predicted again same and same happened.Conclusion?Someone give me Nobel economic award for being 3 years correct. But,in year 2014 i think things will finally start to go better,simply because it cannot be worse :1orglaugh
