Scammer Alert: Content sellers beware
This guy bought a good chunk of content from me, paid with paypal but then had his bank charge back the amount claiming unauthorized access. After filing several documents to paypal's resolution investigation such as chat transcripts, email copies and the IP from which he connected to my server I actually won, and got my money back.
"We have completed our investigation of the transaction below and were unable to find evidence of unauthorized access to the buyer?s account. This case was denied to the buyer and no funds were recovered from your account." Awesome. Anyway, he is using the nickname preliatorlumen and the same for his AIM account. His name is Joshua Smith (supposedly) and he is using the email [email protected]. I have found one person on facebook which corresponds to both the name and the jesmith88 tag. Now keep in mind I am not sure this is the person but I will link anyway since I am pretty certain it is. http://www.facebook.com/jesmith88 |
Thanks for the heads up.

Geez man! Crappy thing to have happened, but I am glad you got to win the dispute!
|
good job with the dispute. I bet he didn't see that coming.
|
thanks for the heads up... if you have any more info on him, be sure to post it...
|
Good to know you keeping logs.
|
so paypal officially allows B2B selling of content now?

Well done for getting your money back. Another scum bag revealed. Until he changes his profile.
I look into all new big buyers with a fine tooth comb. Freemail is a red flag. |

But when I stopped liking poo, I flushed them away... :2 cents: |

He can try and smear me all he likes. In the end it comes down to him bold face lying to both myself, and DT, for months about where the license was. It was not until I forced the dispute, I received what I had asked for. After two months of waiting for my signed license, being lied to countless times that it was in the mail, or on the way, sending out Monday, whatever I filed the dispute to force his hand. Something he could have prevented in the first place by sending me what was asked for in a timely fashion, and he had told me many times "was in the mail". What I did, was the same as anyone else would have done. Anyone looking at Simon's/sologirlcontent past can see that LYING about shit is nothing new. Carry on. :pimp |
Thanks for the heads-up and congrats on keeping your funds where they belong. Say what you want about Paypal but they really know their stuff and always reward GOOD merchants without very good support. 'Pal's worth their fees.

Thanx for the heads up.

I have a few chargebacks with Paypal customers and I have never won. Even after detailed emails, password protected content and physically sending the product. It seems if the buyer wants to contest any transaction, Paypal just rolls over and let's them get their money back and keep the product. Paypal fucking sucks. You are lucky that you got your money, I would have given odds against it.

You could have simply sent me what I asked for within a week instead of lying for 2 months. You opted to do the latter. You dug your own hold with Paypal and the dispute. Something easily avoided. Don't be crying like a little bitch because your own actions brought about consequences. You could have avoided it all together in the first place. After reading your history on GFY for "last sale ever", or "leaving industry", "comic book or movie deals", and "sales a popping" threads.... anyone with a clue would ask for a signed license. :2 cents: |

with so much free content out there, why would anyone go through the trouble of scamming a content company?

I do not understand why somebody would steal content from a content seller when it is so much easier to steal it directly from torrents.
It makes no sense to me. The only logic I can think of is that maybe non exclusive content is less likely to get you a DMCA? I've bought a lot of non-exclusive content on this board and so far Riggo is the only person who seems to give a rat's ass where it ends up getting published. |

thanks for that

Remind me by the end of the month I plan to pick up both your GF pic and vid package. I have a lot of stuff from Riggo and redglamour to sort, watermark describe and upload right now plus there may be some of NaughtyRob's sets I'm not done with so when that's taken care of I'll add your stuff if you don't mind. I don't have any issues disclosing where I deploy content BTW, its just that Riggo is the only one who's ever asked me where I planned to publish. |
good for you. Bank love to legally steal.
|
glad to hear paypal gave you your money back

I'm glad you got your money back!!

by the end of the month i will have brand new content out, won't be long anymore :) and all i care of is that the content is used within the license restrictions - which always should be read before the purchase. if the site is called xxxxx.com or yyyyy.com is not my business :thumbsup |
This scammer needs to be on display a bit more, bump.
|
Watch out, he is online on ICQ right now. Of course not replying to my messages but it is probable that he is out there trying to scam someone at this moment.
|
Bump for you.
