1 Affiliate or Many Affiliate on Same Site? What Pays the Best

I am a newby. I believe revenue comes from subscription, video cams, and a store. From the 6 or so affiliates I have spoken to, I can't get the 3 sources of revenue from the same affiliate, which means using 2-3 affiliate sources. However, if I choose to go with 2-3 affiliates I need to host the site myself. I think I prefer to just have one affiliate and let them host the site, I brand it my with my own header, and then drive traffic. But, I really want the three sources, and my own "branding" I am trying to build a russian theme. I need some recommendations/advise.

Depends on the traffic and your niche...!

niche is country orientated, Russian for example. no traffic has been established yet, this is part of my homework prior to setup.

Hosting is quite cheap, you should be able to get a domain and a full year of basic hosting for around $50-$60. With that, you have full control, can promote whomever you want and install almost whatever you want too. Many sponsors will offer you free hosting, but they will limit you to certain scripts or not even allow any scripts at all.

Because of that, you need to get your own hosting, so you can do what you want and how you want it. In these days you might also want to spread your eaggs a bit, should one sponsor go missing or become unrealiable with their payments, then you better not have too much lifetime revenue or businesses tied up with them. I think you do right tto indentify certain areas, but inside each area, also work with 2-4 sponsors and spread your efforts between them.

Do this both to lower your risks with each individual sponsor, but also as a way to see what type of conversions you can expect within each business area. One sponsor might do great while another one might do aweful, to identify this you need to work with several within each area of your three sources.

Keep all other costs low, but let hosting and one or two domains cost you a bit to get started.

Well considering you can get shared hosting for as little as $10 a month with unlimited add on domains and MySql databases, emails etc and at max domain registration for 2 years is like $22.... So what's the problem with setting up your own and brand it how you want ? If money is tight then make 2 sub domains to cover the other program types....

Not an ideal set up but at least it will get you started down the right road... and change things out / add to it / improve when you start to make some income.... :2 cents:

EDIT : Adraco posted before me with more detailed info

Sounds like you want a white label.

I would start Here.

You will get eaten alive if you don't know the difference between an affiliate and a sponsor.

Start with the basics.

Oh and if you are successful, use checks and/or ACH, not payment processors. (you will thank me later)

A lot of good advise.

I am not sure what a white label is. Would anyone care to define for me?

Just in case I don't know what is the difference between the an Affiliate and a Sponsor?

Checks and ACH? I was under the belief that when I signed up with a provider, like a content provider or a web cam provider, every charge goes through them?
